    NO line NO list
Barricaded pit that allows 500 ( can vary city to city)
    Lottery
Numbers handed out 1 p.m. -4:30 (can vary)
    Number drawn at 5
Number drawn is first in line
For example if 1000 people get lottery numbers and number 780 is pulled they are first in line and goes in order till they to number 280 which would be last in the pit.
Number 281 would be first in line to he on the 2nd rail.

How long does all that take?

I've been through that process a couple of times at different venues. There is no advantage to getting there early and a low number. Just have to get there by the cut off when they stop giving out the numbered bracelets. One time it took about 90 minutes. So its not too bad.

You can always just walk in when you arrive at the show if your not trying to get up close.
  • It is super effective and fair for those who care. It also ensures people who don't care don't get the best spots in the pit. And its an effective counter for the no-lifers who camp out and are always front row show after show. Not that there's anything wrong with doing that, but it gives a fair chance for people to get up close that can't dedicate over 24 hours to a concert.

    No clue exactly
Typically they open the doors for the G.A. people at 6 or so.

    Then I wholeheartedly support it.

In 2012 I showed up for the Denver lottery at 4:15.
Got number 686 I believe and the first number was something like 450 and only 700 and change were given out.

I was in the pit but in the back part and wasn't crushed at the front. Plus if I wanted to go get a drink and food or go to the bathroom at anytime I didnt have to worry about fighting my way back to my spot. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.
