:open_mouth: but the crust is the best part!

Crust or pot pie? I'll have some pot pie with an extra side of crust.

For everyone shocked at the lack of crust, my husband can't have it. It makes him so very ill. Baking it in a crust and carving the insides out doesn't work. Believe me, we've tried.

Is it a pot pie without the crust? To him it is. In actuality, it probably is considered to be more of a chicken version of Shepherd's Pie. Shhh. Don't tell him that. He felt good because I made an alternate item that he could have. (I knew he could have the inside loveliness.) Just like an allergy kid at a picnic, he was just happy that he could get some. He loves pot pie, it just doesn't love him. We altered that. There was some homemade, browned mashed potatoes on the top of his, but the rest of the filling was all the same.

We ended up having enough chicken pot pie to have for three dinners and a lunch. It's that crazy time of year with my decorating at work, so if I can work out a multi-day meal, I do it. Otherwise, I would have been happy to share. I invited SD for Chicken Corn Chowder last week AND for Chicken Pot Pie. She still hasn't made it yet. She said she was coming . . . ;)
