I agree with this. I'm talking about people who are actually fans becoming members.bootlegger10 said:
Nothing wrong with it in most cases, but savvy quickly turns to greedy when people sign up their children or spouses who care nothing about Pearl Jam to be able to buy multiple limited items, or get extra tickets to trade for other shows.SVRDhand13 said:
What's to fix? These people are all paying for their tickets. They were savvy in increasing their chances to win and/or finding a seller.bootlegger10 said:
Can't fix everything unfortunately.MayDay10 said:
This isnt true though. It isnt equal.SVRDhand13 said:I think the GA system is perfect. Old members, new members and everyone in between have an equal shot ate winning the GA lotto. Then if you actually win and want to be up close, you show up early. If you're cool hanging in the back of GA, you show up later. Reserved seats are then given out based on seniority so you are rewarded for being a fan for a long time but it no longer guarantees you a spot up front, thus preventing many others who never had the chance to be close to the stage.
I think the 10C got it right and I hope it doesn't change. A lotto for rows 1-2 and 9-10 didn't feel like enough to me.
Whoever gets more memberships and buddies up with others with multiple memberships have an exponentially better chance at tickets to many shows than someone who just wants to go to a show.severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

I like this idea...
All reserved seating and make the first 20 rows random instead of rows 1 and 2 and 9 and 10.1998: Pitt

As much as I liked having 15-20th row for every show outside of the Northeast, I do like the GA sections. It takes a lot of fun out of the anticipation where your 10C seats would be as the best case is side stage.0

Love you all but can we stay on topic. I saw 26 new messages and I thought something happened regarding the tour.0

I suspect yet again northeast ten club tix will be hard to come by but probably alot easier for the south's run.
I only won 1 out of 16 entries on the last north east coast go round under the new system but for the west coast run I won 4 out of 4 (Spokane,BC, Seattle and Portland).
Perhaps ticketmasters tentacles arnt as long out west and down south as they are here in these parts and the band can get more fan club seats per venue.0 -
agreed. lets keep this for rumors instead of rehashing the same old topics. everytime i click and see new posts i get excited but then sort through a bunch of nonsense. someone here has to have a live nation hookup right? anybody able to do a little digging?nicknyr15 said:Love you all but can we stay on topic. Exactly! I would have never had the chance to get close but me and my girlfriend who are both die hard fans won GA for the midwest tour and we got to see the band from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd row that would have probably never happened under the old way.SVRDhand13 said:I think the GA system is perfect. The band has been touring for 25 years and the fans are still trying to invent new ways to issue fan club ticketsI've met Rob

I wouldnt be too discouraged until November 10th. If the newsletter comes out and there isnt much a peep at all... I would assume that no announcement is imminent and these dates, if not completely fabricated, were at best 'soft dates'.nycrats said:gotta say, the longer this goes on with no info seems liek that list may be really bogus. i didnt think it was gospel but could just be someone bored piecing it around 2 previously rumored dates.

I disagree. That list seems like it has things to work out which could take time. The whole Barclays vs MSG, Hartford or Albany. 2 dates in NC? Looks like an announcement around November IMO.nycrats said:gotta say, the longer this goes on with no info seems liek that list may be really bogus. i didnt think it was gospel but could just be someone bored piecing it around 2 previously rumored dates.

You are making a massive assumption that you know where they are in the process of booking this tour (if the dates are in fact true). You seem to assume that they are 75% through the process when they may in fact be 99% through. This process could have started back in July or August for all we know (or even earlier)nicknyr15 said:

i still think there is a spring '16 us tour, just the list is kind of a fantasy. has so many people happy right now, feels too good to be true..'98: Camden 1 '00: JB2 '03: MSG1 '04: Boston 1 '05: AC1

The waiting for this announcement has gone on for a long time now. I'm just like most of you when I say that I can't wait for the announcement. However, it seems that everyone has a certain day that they keep thinking will be the day. There's no problem with that, but if we continue to stress about when it will be, time will go by slower and slower."Must I keep explaining my decisions to you strangers of the Internet?" - Merch tent 8/19/16

Dimitris - still feel as confident about an announcement VERY soon?0

I thought there was a very small chance we would get an announcement in the 10th newsletter. I'll now look at the nov 10th newsletter and hope for it then. I'm not expecting anything beforehand and will be pleasantly surprised if something does pop up. But I'm not holding my breath.Pearl34Jam said:The waiting for this announcement has gone on for a long time now. I'm just like most of you when I say that I can't wait for the announcement. Tampa seems to be 99% confirmed at this point. More people on FB saying source from venue says its a done deal.
Also. Maybe have a GA pit with maybe only 100 or so available tickets, then a normal GA behind that, and then the normal seats.
When you enter for the GA drawing, you have a random shot at being in the "pit" which puts you where rows 1-2 would be. Everyone else is in normal GA.2010: Cleveland
