And instead of consulting with the powers that be yesterday and firing Sark today Haden again embarrasses the University by how he handles this. I am a glass half full kind of guy but enough is enough. Haden must go. USC should set the standard for coach payroll and double pay if it takes it to get a bonafide A+ coach in place for next year. If the guy they are after is in the NFL...pay fucking double. Who cares? Saban gets 7 Million? What does the top NFL guy make - 8 Million? Fuck it, pay $15,000,000. They can afford it (easily) so they need to do it. Have some sort of clause that the coach has to stay 6 years or give back half of the money or something like that and do it.

They were listing names and who is number 1 on the supposed short list of coaches, Wittingham. Rich Rod, Patterson and someone else were the supposed top 4. Might have been the medias top 4 and not USC's. Knowing USC they will go after Norm Chow or another coach from the glory days.

i think it would've seemed cold to fire him immediately...although waiting 24 hours isn't much better but he wasn't coming back no matter what...haden will be gone it's just a matter of when

sark is in a bad place and hopefully he'll get the help he needs

I bet they needed to confer with attorneys, hence the 24 hour delay in his firing.
