For a band as big as pearl jam is, they sure run a shit show when it comes to these things. So many people have great ideas as to how everyone can get a piece of the pie, but nope. Pearl jam is a corporation.

It is comical really, you would think they would actually try to get some of this stuff in the hands of their fans for as much as they hyped this show.

    Those posters are terrible!

I agree. Dont understand the hoopla, especially with that Transformers thing.

I do dig some of the stickers and shirts though.

So all the clothing merchandise is up on the racks and the posters and stickers and pins are behind the counter? And people just running through the store basically?

They cornered the market in 1 purchase. Maybe 2 per person tomorrow? Come on people, HOW do you not expect this and why dont you seem to care. Infuriating.

It's like they all showed up to work the shop and said, " what do we do?" And everyone just stood there with that lost look on their faces. Plan it out, make it right. Get the stuff in the fans hands for box price not marked up 500% on eBay. Shit, they're already on eBay for $200 the posters. Instead, you have people walking out with 20 hats and 20 shirts to dump on eBay to pay for the cost of their trip and some.

And what I find even worse, a lot of it are people who are flipping just to go to more shows.

I can not see that happen. The King Kong poster is a classic for many reasons. The Transformers

Agreed... it's a perception. Unless the Transformers poster spits out dollar bills, it's not worth the hype. The Kong poster is a classic.

Stop buying all this crap and they might actually be forced to play a few shows next year to meet their bottom line.

Also, it's good to see they learned from the Wrigley merch debacle.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

If I had to guess I'd say Ames will throw up multiple Transformers and/or Decepticons variants on Sunday.

The Transformers poster is classic lazy Ames....and unlike the Kong, there is no creativity there.
The only way that one becomes as valued as the Kong is because its NY and overhyped- but Im gonna guess the print run will be much higher than the Kong, therefore its wont reach that level.
The best one of the bunch is that new artists, just because its visually different than anything else, but again, lots of skulls and similar themes we've seen too much of in recent years.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.
