I smell a lawsuit in the works, I can see being fired for refusing to work as directed but jailed ??? there's just a whole bunch of
things that will come into play if she takes this to court.

    Who would she sue?
    She was not doing the job she was elected to do.
    The goal of the judge locking her up for contempt was to get her to issue licenses, and to stop imposing her own personal religious beliefs on the citizens she was elected to serve. By trying to impose her personal religious beliefs she was obfuscating the Constitution of the United States that she was elected to uphold.
    Hopefully that goal has been met.
    Therefore no one for her to sue.
    Except maybe Mike Huckabee for trying to be leach.

    No way in hell this idiot can sue her employer. She deserved to be in jail. I only wish the judge didn't back down. I really hope this moron interferes with the others when they issue a gay marriage license. She will go right back to jail.

    I'm ashamed by the people at that rally. It really is embarrassing that in 2015, we still have this many bigots in the nation. That is what this boils down to. You are a bigot if you don't agree with gays being married. You are a bigot if your god tells you this is wrong. Yes, you are a bigot if you support this woman.

    she was urging people to "fight on." who was she urging to fight on? other county clerks? because if that is the case, she is encouraging other government officials to undermine the law.
