Rush (2013 - Ron Howard)
It was pretty good of you like that kind of thing. I personally almost indiscriminately love sports themed movies (if you can even call car racing a sport), so I predictably enjoyed this one. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Chef (I think that was the title of it)

Happy Gilmore. Still a great laugh after all these years.0

I liked that one. Fun. I could have done without the Robert Downey, Jr. character.Annafalk said:Chef (I think that was the title of it)

Somewhere in the Night. Great old film noir.

I watched Montage of Heck last night. To be honest I'm still not sure what I think of it.
On the one hand it was a very interesting insight into Kurt's childhood and background. As a Nirvana fan in the 90s, I knew a lot of the backstory but it was interesting to see the interviews with his parents and girlfriend.
On the other hand a lot of it was too uncomfortable to watch. The shaky, student-art-project camerawork was off putting at times, and seeing 2 fucked up junkies shaking Frances around like a rag doll was pretty traumatizing.
I was also a little surprised it ended the way it did. I was expecting to see reaction to his death (I remember footage of Courtney reading his suicide note out at the vigil right after it happened), or more press coverage at least. Instead it almost felt like an afterthought.
I guess it's the kind of film that is designed to make you feel uncomfortable in some ways, given the subject matter. It's by no means a bad film, but it's not one you can say you actually 'enjoyed', and it just felt unfinished to me.“Do not postpone happiness”

Rush (1991)
Super Mario Bros. (Rifftrax commentary) - Bob Hoskins said it was his worst movie and he's right. As a kid who grew up playing Mario, I have to say it's very awful.
North Dallas Forty - A gentle reminder of what Nick Nolte looked like before he became the grandaddy of all mugshot memes and punchlines.0 -
BoyhoodThe joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Oh hell yes...I love Exaclibur. When I was in college it was one of those movies (Godfather, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas) that seemed to always be in the VCR in the background while we were goofing off. Liam Neeson & Gabriel Byrne in some of their first roles...Helen Mirren. Love that movie.oftenreading said:

That's a blast from the past - I remember seeing it several times. The use of Carmina Burana in the sound track is classic.
Watched Big Hero 6 with my nephew last night...liked it. He cried at the end.

Get Rich Or Die Tryin - I loved 8 Mile. You are no 8 Mile.
Opportunity Knocks - Dana Carvey's first starring role.
Manhunter - Have yet to see Red Dragon. It's on HBO Now so I'll catch it soon even though Ratner is a hack douchebag. Finally saw this since it expires on Showtime's streaming service today.

I was 3 going on 4 when that came out. Don't remember the movie but I remember the ones played on MTV and radio then. At least Eminem can act, compared to Prince.dankind said:
