Horrible Crowes Live at the

I heard that Radiohead basically despise their fans, which i was disappointed about. So that is probably why there isn't much of that from them (yes, I am replying to an 8 year old post).leafs4ever said:
Well for radiohead, The Astoria London Live is a great Dvd... unfortunatly it came out just after The Bends, so there is nothing on there from Ok Computer onward.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Not concert dvd's, but I can't help myself because they are great.
Social Distortion - Another State of Mind
GG Allin - Hated
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.0 -
Some great ones have been mentioned like Led Zep and the Alice in Chains, Nirvana unplugged shows, but everyone knows those. Here's some that aren't so well known but just as good in my opinion...
Shut Up And Play The Hits - This is the LCD Soundsystem DVD about their last ever shows, it's a music documentary with a whole lot of live concert footage in it. Really good and well worth checking out, the live parts are quite incredible.
No Distance Left to Run - Is another music doco, this one's about Blur when they reformed and comes with a whole concert with it from Hyde Park. Great!
Everything, Everything - Live concert for Underworld, absolutely one of the best music DVD's around, just builds and builds. Amazing.
Nas: Time Is Illmatic - If you like Hip-Hop this ones about the making of Nas' first album the classic Illmatic. Has some live concert pieces in it too. Highly recommended.
Screamadelica Live - From a couple of years ago when Primal Scream toured playing their album Screamadelica from start to to finish with a few of their other tracks in there too. Most enjoyable.A wop bop a loo bop a lop bam boom.0 -
The full show of Shut Up and Play the Hits is really good. Quite long, but a great performance. Everything, Everything is a great audio recording but the video needs a serious update. It was so bad I could hardly focus on it.reesdog said:Some great ones have been mentioned like Led Zep and the Alice in Chains, Nirvana unplugged shows, but everyone knows those. Dead Weather Live at TMR.
and for what it's worth:
Nirvana Unplugged > AIC Unplugged. For me, the emotion of Kurt's performance was what put it over. AIC's musicianship was second to none, but so are the Eagles. The Eagles make great music, but they stand there and phone it in. That doesn't make for a great live DVD. Emotion does. And the covers thing? That was done on purpose by Kurt so as to not milk their celebrity. Dave Grohl was quoted as saying "there was no way we were going to do Teen Spirit unplugged". Kurt wanted to pay homage to his heroes.
And while I'm not personally a fan, Oasis ARE a great band. And metal has fabulous technical musicians, but I don't give a rats ass about technical prowess. Anyone can practice and become perfect at something. Doesn't mean that translates to good music. I've never been a fan of the masturbation that is a metal guitar solo.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -

This isn't a concert film but I picked up Sonic Highways on Blu Ray the other day and have already been through four of the cities. Absolutely fantastic miniseries. Well documented, cool history, good mentions of new artists to show how the history connects. All in all it's everything I expected and would highly recommend it to anyone.it's a fragile thing, this life we lead.
