way before Fight Club was ever a movie (and maybe even a book, not sure when it came out), in about 1990 some buddies of mine thought it would be funny to wager who of us would knock out whom for cash. as the idiot of the group, I volunteered, I was the one who got knocked out, and I was the one who got the LEAST amount of cash for it. the guy throwing the punch got the majority of it. we made it so it was "safe", though. two guys right beside me to catch me if I lost consiousness. which i did. and which they did. so it was all good.

what teens do when drunk and bored.

I'd like to say...I don't think thrill-seeking is idiotic. There is nothing wrong with a good adrenaline rush. I've gone skydiving four times and would do it all the time if it wasn't so expensive...you're more likely to die on a golf course than jumping. There are a lot of other dangerous activities on my (imaginary - don't have one) bucket list. The risk/reward might not make sense to some - everyone has their own limits when it comes to dangerous activities. hell, some people won't get in a plane, let alone jump out of it...But I think it's even more idiotic to live life worrying too much about 'what if's'.

Aren't you more likely to die on a golf course because you're more likely to be 80 and overweight??

But I agree with your general premise about risks worth taking. I'm a back country hiker/climber as well; not as risky as jumping out of planes, though.

Lol....touché. I'm sure that's part of whatever stats someone's friend told someone's friend who came up with the comparison I heard from a hardcore skydiving friend. I do know there are a shit ton of lightning deaths on golf courses each year tho...who knows how it works out per capita, it was meant kinda tongue in cheek.
Either way, the sensation of freedom - flying/ near weightlessness is awesome enough for the risk imo...I was surprised that scuba had a similar vibe...but there is a lot more sky than water in my neck o the woods. I really do want to get into some serious back country canoe / hiking trips in the near future tho...every time I go to the Alberta rockies I curse myself for not taking better advantage of my proximity to them

Another idiotic action I'll never get, Jason. Why subject yourself (and especially your ass) to that?

Out here, a 17-year-old kid killed himself by playing a surprise game of russian roulette.

    Again, why?

In the runs, hundreds of people test their bravery and speed by dashing ahead of bulls through the streets to a town's bull ring

bravery. bravery? that's not bravery. that's stupidity, plain and simple. you taunt and run away from a wild animal and get gored/trampled/whatever, you fucking deserved it.

luckily, from what I read, it was just his leg, not up his ass. even if it was, at least it wouldn't have been a fuscilli jerry. that corkscrew pasta can be a bitch.

This is bad. Really bad. Read if you want to be disgusted and furious at the same time ... I'll hide it in the "quote" feature in case you don't want to get bummed out on a Friday.

edit: apparently the "quote" feature doesn't work. So .... it shall remain a mystery. Have a nice weekend!

Whatever happened to being turned on by a well-shaped, mature female?

New lows?? Lactation porn is lightweight. Barely even gross. Just kinda weird. You know about scat porn and beastiality porn, right??

I'm fairly open-minded on the sexual front and am all for live-and-let-live in peace...but I'll never get some of the shit (pun intended??) some people get off on.

It makes me curious how those predilections came to be...or if they just are?

(and lactation porn reminds me of some bizarro Oedipus-Rex complex)

Jesus. God forbid embracing the idea that if you can't afford it, you do without? Especially for something like that?

It seems like a valuable lesson could have been demonstrated to their TWO-YEAR OLD.

    (excuse, me...their "princess")

I feel / worry for the kid.

Ultimately, this is high tech panhandling. Even worse because they sink to that level out of desire versus need. It's about as selfish and narcissistic as it can get.

these things aren't new. they are now just available for private viewing via current technology.

if anything, the mainstream availability of such things just makes people realize they are not "alone" in their "interests".
