Good choice Robby, this for me is the best one from Kyuss too...

Sweet, not enough people know about Kyuss.
All QOTSA fans should give a listen to where the band originated from.
I like Blues for the Red Sun as well!

Kyuss is okay. I have listened to all of their albums, and it's not bad. It's harder than QOTSA of course, which is cool. But i don't find them as dynamic as a group overall - their music just doesn't affect me on that emotional.level that i need - so I now mostly stick to QOTSA. But there is a bit of Kyuss on my mp3 player - I enjoy the occasional listen.

I agree. I tried Kyuss, as all my Queens fan friends highly recommended them. But I just didn't connect with it.

    Flight Risk out NOW!

I like QOTSA more than Kyuss as well.
Kyuss is definatly heavier but Queens is everything. A mixed bag of awesomeness!.
Might be the singers voice that turns people off.

    Worth a try anyways

I am going to get all of the Wilco LP's on vinyl, before I delve into their rarities and live vinyl. Have YFH and AGIB so far. My two favorites. Not sure what to get next. Maybe Sky Blue Sky or Wilco the album. So probably should be Summer Teeth. :) GEEZ!!!!

    Yeah that would be them...

I had a copy from their show here in Edmonton, and then on the first listen I dropped the record an bounced it off my player resulting in a huge gouge. Didn't think I would be able to get it replaced, then saw it at a local store yesterday.

Here's the discogs link since I don't have the record handy to take a picture.

Yeah I haven't gotten into it yet, I find there are a lot of pre-Nels Wilco fans and post-Nels Wilco fans. I'm basically a fan regardless so I am curious to hear how their sound changes over the 4 LPs.

I would say them and PJ are my two favourite bands.

Wilco the Album is my least favourite. Sky Blue Sky is probably my favourite... for what it's worth.

If you like "jammy" type songs then yeah AGIB is kind of like that, I find that record closest to what they are like live.

That's the Nels factor from my previous post, they can get quite jammy live, he can just go off and the rest of the band just watches.

To anyone interested this is where I find most my records here in Auckland...
    30954yd.jpg
The second-hand are mixed in with the new and they have sections for every major band/artist from AC/DC and The Allman Brothers to Warren Zevon and ZZ-Top. The photo only shows about half of their stock, theres a whole lot more to the left of this picture. A Hip-Hop section, House/Techno, Electronic sections plus a Latest Releases wall, along with a ton more cheap second-hand stuff.

That's awesome! So mad I missed their show out west. Next time I'm in Edmonton I'll have to hit up Blackbyrd or Permanent Records to see if they have a copy.

To add to this every growing list, here's my take yesterday:

Sleater Kinney - No Cities to Love
    Melvins - Hold It In
    The Replacements - Tim
