I love the diversity of venues for the Foos. They can have an entire stadium/festival in the palm of their hand, while still being one of the best shows you'll ever see in a club. Was thinking about how the three times I've seen them have been in different venues: arena, festival, small club. Wrigley will be another kind of venue with a stadium, and if I end up going to the Detroit show, another with an amphitheater. Pretty cool stuff."Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."

foos have been my #2 for awhile. always thought that if they changed up their sets that i'd travel to see them like i do w/ pj. guess i'm spoiled that pj sets change nightly, even hourly/minutely/secondly. deluna was a dream show for me, having my top 2 together and on a beach. their pa fucked during hjp (i think it was) and afterwards dave acknowledged it when fans shouted to him. he then said they were gonna play something just for us to make up for it (young mans blues). bull. same set. dave said in a recent article that he doesn't like it when bands tour behind playing records in their entirety. called them lazy...really? lazy??? and playing the same set 10+/- years isn't lazy? or boring? they enjoy that, that's fine. i've just lost some of my passion for them. haven't bought the new record yet, or watched 1 epidose of sonic, and didn't try that hard for wrigley tix, haven't bought any tix at all. usually i'd be all over it. they have a large catalog but stick to the same 25-30, except for "special" shows and they'll throw in wattershed or exhausted which i'd love to hear. i agree that they put on a good show. i'm glad that i can schedule my piss/beer breaks beforehand. was kinda put off when i saw them play the same jam during all my life and dave scratched his chin to the crowd the same way like i was watching a staged show. wait, i was. the globes during porch are staged too, i know. wish dave would sing more of the songs instead of the screaming just bummed. or maybe fortunate cause i just did 5 pj shows and this is easier on my wallet. i think and recommend that anyone that hasn't seen them live, do so. once a tour maybe. after that, stick w/ you tube. learn from the foo model? ha0

Right? As of now, I could never imagine PJ playing in a club (or DMB, my #2, for that matter), which stinks. Though tickets for shows like that (stadium/arena band in a teeny tiny place) can be incredibly hard to come by, the experience when you have a ticket is pretty unforgettable!rr165892 said:

Most the time the set list change song position rotate covers and add in a couple of twists. Not as mixed up as a PJ set but people mostly want to hear the hits.Pj usually always plays 15 -20 staples(EF,Alive,Betterman,Evolution,RVM,etc)?Foos are the same.I would be bummed if I didn't get All my life or Everlong or Allandria ya know.Hell I'm bummed the haven't played Stacked Actors,Next Year,or Wheels of late but I've had tix to 3 of the club shows this cycle and I've been pumped with the setlist(Richmond especially).Give the new album a try. There is some sweet stuff on that album that will be set list staples from here on out.I was also at Deluna and other then the shit show in Vip for PJ it was unbelievable seeing my two favs plus Joan Jett barefoot in the sand.Classicman of the prowler said:foos have been my #2 for awhile. always thought that if they changed up their sets that i'd travel to see them like i do w/ pj. guess i'm spoiled that pj sets change nightly, even hourly/minutely/secondly. deluna was a dream show for me, having my top 2 together and on a beach. their pa fucked during hjp (i think it was) and afterwards dave acknowledged it when fans shouted to him. he then said they were gonna play something just for us to make up for it (young mans blues). bull. same set. dave said in a recent article that he doesn't like it when bands tour behind playing records in their entirety. called them lazy...really? lazy??? and playing the same set 10+/- years isn't lazy? or boring? they enjoy that, that's fine. i've just lost some of my passion for them. haven't bought the new record yet, or watched 1 epidose of sonic, and didn't try that hard for wrigley tix, haven't bought any tix at all. usually i'd be all over it. they have a large catalog but stick to the same 25-30, except for "special" shows and they'll throw in wattershed or exhausted which i'd love to hear. i agree that they put on a good show. i'm glad that i can schedule my piss/beer breaks beforehand. was kinda put off when i saw them play the same jam during all my life and dave scratched his chin to the crowd the same way like i was watching a staged show. wait, i was. the globes during porch are staged too, i know. wish dave would sing more of the songs instead of the screaming just bummed. or maybe fortunate cause i just did 5 pj shows and this is easier on my wallet. i think and recommend that anyone that hasn't seen them live, do so. once a tour maybe. after that, stick w/ you tube. learn from the foo model? ha

I'm proud of the fact that I've seen Grohl 4 times, and never once with the same act (Nirvana, Foo, QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures).
I've never felt the need to see the Foo again (even though they rocked when I saw them) but a Saturday night at Fenway is just too good to pass up. I don't love the Foo, but I love Dave Grohl...... I can't wait for this show.0 -
Disappointed in the Foo's Christmas sweatshirt. It was supposed to be cardinal red but showed up maroon and they're all out of green.
I've seen the Foos about 6 times and loved the all the shows. The only bad thing on the Wasting Light tour was that I saw them in Philly and The Meadowlands in the same week and the sets were nearly identical.Alright, alright, alright!

Finally finished up Sonic Highways on HBO. What an awesome series that was. Such a cool idea and I think they nailed it. Learned a lot about music in all these different cities. Good stuff all around.0

I was able to watch the finale last night. Great series overall. The interviews and the idea were very interesting. Now I feel like there's a Foo void. I guess I'll listen to their catalog from start to finish again.
Alright, alright, alright!

Bf and I recently booked our hotel for Wrigley! It's all becoming more real, especially now that it's finally at least show year! Anyone else staying in/near the Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile?"Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."
