I luckily have a short commute, maybe 4.5 miles wach way. I fill it up on payday every two weeks, usually about 3/4 of a tank.

girlfriend has a 50 mile commute each way so its a significant expense for her.

wow. since then, new job and she went to a 70 mile commute, half driving, half train, subway to Philadelphia. recently she switching offices to Delaware, a 43 mile drive.

and my commute almost doubled. :fp:

I-5 the entire drive, everyday. The jobsite said "we don't need you here full time until June"...apparently it's 'June' already.

At least all the miles are going on the company car.

I was very excited yesterday to only pay $3.19 per gallon. It's sad that we get excited about prices like that, but I honestly can't remember the last time it was so low.

$4.50 a gallon here in NS (1.20 per litre).
Lowest it's been in a year I think. 2 weeks ago it was 1.33 per litre ($5 per gallon).

We pay per litre which in NZD$2.08 per litre, which works out at USD$7.08 per gallon. I downsized my car this year - to fill from empty it costs me $75 (NZ) about $68 US

Just paid $2.55 Filled my prius for $22. I'll get 48mpg so won't need to fill again until next weekend.

What do you all do with your extra pocket money when gas is cheap? My hubs owns a pizzeria and we really notice a surge in business when gas prices are low. Seems jerseyans buy more pizza when it costs less to stand and idle in traffic on the way to work.
