If you haven't experienced a Pearl Jam concert @ The Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada then you're missing out, BIG TIME!!! Loudest crowd EVER!! Last show back in '11 it was totally loud! You all know that every single Habs fan screams their lungs out every single f'ing time their hockey players pass the blue line with the puck, but the whole night PJ works on stage the fans in the Bell Centre just go NUTS!!

The shocking thing is Pearl Jam hasn't played a show east of Calgary supporting their Lightning Bolt album, here in Canada. Just imagine if they do this coming 2015 season? The crowds in Montreal (and Halifax ;) ) will blow their minds!!! @-)

Last night at Bridge School when Eddie introduced Chris Cornell my wife screamed so loud in my ear that it is still ringing...that would be my loud crowd moment ;)

Alive at the Astoria in London '06. Set was finished after they'd played YLed and Ed called the band back on stage, best and loudest crowd reaction I've seen to a song anywhere.

The loudest crowd might be up for debate, but the quietest crowd was during game 3 of the 2009 World Series when the Yankees were sticking it to the Phillies (10-31-09). Between songs you could hear a pin drop when everyone at the Spectrum was checking the score on their phones. :D

Agree with everyone saying Spectrum '03 was the loudest show but the loudest single moment was definitley Better Man at MSG 2 in 2010 as far as shows I've been to

Yes. Betterman was unreal. There's a reason this was featured in the PJ20 doc.

Mansfield, 2008 during Betterman, the crowd drowned out Eddie. Literally, he just stopped trying to sing the second verse and let the crowd continue. Then the ovation we gave ourselves was even louder. Cool, cool moment.

Hartford 13. Wrigley was probably louder during Release from a pure decibel point of view, but the XL center is so cozy that it "felt" louder at times than Wrigley.

Release in 94 at the Chicago Stadium. That was the loudest I have ever heard a crowd for any concert ever. I was at PJ20 and Wrigley and the crowd at each show was incredibly loud, but the Stadium Release was the most amazing thing I've ever heard.

Release was unbelievable. It was my friend's first PJ show and we both had chills. I think he thought every show was like this. Had to tell him that this was the loudest I had ever heard a PJ crowd. Kinda glad we were on the lawn for this. We could hear everyone!!!

as for Arms Aloft... yeah that was a bad choice.
I noticed that song pulled a Jimmy Hoffa not long after that.

Agreed. Release at Wrigley, Betterman at Mansfield I 2008, and probably Eruption --> ATBL -- Chloe/Crown in Hartford last year. That's my list in no particular order.

Release at Boston '06 was nuts too, and it's one of the few times that the official bootleg actually comes close to capturing it:
