Alright, old guy chiming in...I was at every MSG show, every Spectrum show, and the most recent Toronto shows in 11, and they were all amazing, but when I tell you they are NOT EVEN CLOSE to 94, you have to believe me.

On 4/10/94 I was 19 years old and bought tickets for the old Boston Garden from a scalper for $210. We trekked from NJ to Boston and stayed with friends at college. This was about a week after Kurt died.

During blood, I remember the floor (I was 15th row center) chairs being tied together with Zip Ties, and everyone in the rows lifting in unison and throwing the rows of chairs out of the way, while ed put the mic stand clean thru the stage. That was the loudest, best concert moment of my life, and ive given up on anything ever coming close. Id love to be able to see some of this show again. It was like being in a Rock and Roll riot.

don't you miss the old days when we just made our own "general admission" pit?

Ive been to about 80 PJ shows from 1994 Boston - 2013 Hartford and I feel like i remember every minute of each one. My friends remember nothing! But man that Abruzzese snare was like nothing else...I could feel it in my fucking toes.

Ive actually been debating writing a book chronicling all of my shows.

OK, there is something with the stadium shows with the sound travelling across there.

Being 10C member, you stand at front, close to the stage. Like in Milan, San Siro in June/2014.

You scream when you have to and everyone else around you does. And you stop. Then you hear a big roar coming behind from the 65.000 people surrounding you from all over that big stadium and the acoustic it has. You just turn behind and go, Wow, what the fuck was that?

That roar is what makes you understand the mightiness of this band called Pearl Jam.
What's your part, who you are?

    2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
    2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
    2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin
    2016: NY MSG 1

Also MSGII and Hartford were loudest I have been too. At the Boston 06 show, when they broke out Leash, everyone just lost their minds. It was like all of the 10C folks were having a seizure at the same time...

Mansfield, 2008 during Betterman, the crowd drowned out Eddie. Literally, he just stopped trying to sing the second verse and let the crowd continue. Then the ovation we gave ourselves was even louder. Cool, cool moment.

Forgot that one...Everyone was hitting the chairs in front of them to make as much noise as possible. Very cool moment!

Release from PJ20. It was deafening. Ed was pretty much drowned out by the crowd the entire song.

Yup pretty loud.. Then you could hear crickets on the next song Arms Aloft..
I don't know what the fuck they were thinking there. That spot needed Last Exit, Save You, Animal, or something like that.
Worst setlist decision ever by EV. I will never understand it. Corduroy would have blown the roof off that place.
Release was unbelievable. It was my friend's first PJ show and we both had chills. I think he thought every show was like this. Had to tell him that this was the loudest I had ever heard a PJ crowd. Kinda glad we were on the lawn for this. We could hear everyone!!!

as for Arms Aloft... yeah that was a bad choice.
I noticed that song pulled a Jimmy Hoffa not long after that.
it's just not a very good song.
I actually like it. But not as the 2nd song at the 20th anniversary festival. Like svrdhand13 said, it was the worst setlist move Eddie has ever made...given the circumstances of the anniversary festival
The other setlist bummer was not playing Crown. How the heck do you break out TOD, take a trip down memory lane, and NOT play Crown??? Would have tied everything in together nicely...

Mexico City July 17th, 2003 - first few seconds of "Of the Girl"... It was the first show EVER of Pearl Jam in Mexico (and latin america). First PJ show EVER for thousands of hardcore fans. And the very first song of the set...You can imagine how loud it was as the first sounds of "Of the Girl" were played. It was just a nut house.

There have been so many crazy loud moments, but this thread made me think about the intro to Yellow Ledbetter at Mansfield 3. After a very lengthy "experiment", and zero expectation of hearing that song (because it was already played the previous night) the place went insane.

That was rough. The 2nd night too when they went into The Fixer after Wash. I still think about how insane that crowd would have been if they went into Corduroy 2nd either of those nights.

But yeah, Release night 1 of PJ20 was so fucking loud! What an awesome weekend.

Loudest personally for me, Release at Wrigley. But after hearing the Argentina 2011 boots, that had to be the loudest overall crowd. They made The Fixer sound like it was the hottest song of the year. Best boot I've ever heard by far, crowd energy was insane.
