What an amazing experience. Travelled to Moline with my brother. drinks and free pizza at OKeefes before the show..cool people. My 10th show and obviously the best. Unfreaking real. No Code, Gone, Garden. New song Moline was awesome. What a beautiful tune. Amazing chords...can't believe I was there and so thankful to PJ for continually putting on such great shows. On to Milwaukee!

Still can't believe what I witnessed last night. The crowd was fucking amazing and the guys absolutely fed off of it. Thought the first 3 No Code songs was just a cool coincidence being played in a row, but once In My Tree started, my friend and I just looked at each other and knew what was happening. Heard In Hiding, my second favorite song ever, for the first time since 1998, so that was a huge highlight for me. Heard 13 songs for the first time live. For me, I never thought Wrigley could be topped, but it was last night. The most hyped show of the tour, and they fucking delivered.

Hubby and I listened to Ten, then Yield, & then No Code on the way to the venue (2+hr drive). Sometimes comes on and I tell him how much I love that song and talked about how Ed played it at his solo show we saw in Memphis. Hail Hail I tell him is another awesome one (I refer to those in love) and how they played it on Letterman when the album first came out. Who You Are has always been a fave also & reminisced about them playing it at PJ 20. And how that song was the single where they were trying to weed out the real fans from the Jeremy only fans (or so the lore goes). So at the show last night, hey! Sometimes! Sweet! OMG, now Hail Hail! I said, shit are they playing the whole album?!? Once they started Who You Are, I KNEW! And I was AMAAZED!!! Thank you PJ for another memorable night! Section 207, but seating was irrelevant as usual. Just being there is so special to me! Thankfully, I got a shirt (unlike the Wrigley show) and the boot is must!

So yeah we're gonna need a vinyl release for this one

"Yield" in St Paul, the release them as a companion piece for reissues!

Saw a passed out drunk guy get carted out on a stretcher before the show even started. How he's ok. I bet he's super bummed today.

Awesome trip for me! Great show of course. Meet some awesome people before/during/after show.

Driving home along the beautiful Mississippi. Leaves are changing color and prime. Swung by "Field of Dreams", Toppling Goliath Brewery & Niagra Cave on the way home to Minneapolis.

Still can't believe what I saw last night. Best PJ show I've seen (and that includes Wrigley and Charlottesville). I was hoping for something better after seeing them the other night in Memphis. And it was!

while the "No Code" just speaks for itself on how fucking good this is live, and waiting 18 years to hear a good bulk of it again since my first show, the rest of this show just had some killer highlights:
    "MYM"
    "Brain of j"
"Infallible" - -> were just great coming in shortly after the album completion.
Along with an AMAZING dedicated "Bee Girl" and a nice Neil song to cap things off!
Hey Detroit, thought you had it all wrapped up didn't you!!
Those of you who wanted to be here but couldn't....we rocked the house for you, you were all with us!!!
Thanks for Moline for the hospitality!

Wow! How lucky all of you are to have heard No Code from beginning to end. My favorite album! Long time fan and my first show will be Monday in Milwaukee and I am hoping they will play some No Code. I hope they play SMILE, PRESENT TENSE OR HAIL HAIL.... It was so great to follow the setlist thread last night and see how many were in disbelief about what was happening (and how many of us were kicking ourselves for not being there). What an amazing band. I can't wait for Monday!

I've been around the block a couple of times, and don't throw around superlatives much...but that was extraordinary last night. Unprecedented and wonderfully unexpected. Still haven't come down from the sonic boom they laid on us.

(...and three more to go this week. I am such a lucky bastard...)

Yes, classic show. I'd like to thank my buddies from Fort Worth (who got me my GA ticket), East Peoria, IL (my best buddy who was in GA with me), Elgin, IL (who found a spare GA for my best buddy), Saint Louis, MO (thanks for a fun time at the Saint Louis show), Ann Arbor, MI (thanks for the Detroit gear) and a young kid from outside Philadelphia (good luck with everything man). You all made the show great and special.

No Code = Moline, IL forever.

I had a feeling with the small venue a great show would happen, and it did. This is a hometown show to me since I used to live in Davenport, IA, across the Mississippi River from Moline.

I still can't believe that actually happened last night. What a night. No code!
  • Saw my first Pearl Jam show last night and I don't think words can describe it. I don't think I could've ever dreamt anything like that. Who the hell would've ever thought going into that show or any show thinking that they would play No Code in it's entirety??? Just absolutely incredible. I'm still coming down from the high. I'm counting down the days until I can hear the bootleg.

I'm not really sure what to say or what I can add to what has previously been said by others. I am just grateful for the opportunity to be at the show. It didn't dawn on me what was happening until they started into Smile. I can say without hesitation that Detroit and Moline were the best concert experiences of my life...and that is after attending more than 20 pj shows since 1998. Thank you!

Awesome setlist!! It was a terrible crowd though, at least around me (I had TM tickets, in the upper level). There were several rows of people who sat for the entire show and knew only the classics.

We were in section 207 last row and were right above those assholes. Or were you elsewhere? It looked like everybody else in the entire venue stayed on their feet the whole time! I did have to sit down for one song (they wore me out), but I was right back up!

PS I've learned to ignore those people or just sing louder and dance wilder! Can't let them bring you down!

There's always one lame section, we had it in Baltimore last year, only section in the building that had people sitting down, luckily none of them bitched about us standing.

Finally, my wish for them to play all of No Code has come true!

I agree, on the walk in I was saying that the shows that get me the most excited are when they play No Code songs, and there they went and answered with the whole damned thing! The Moline song was soooo good as well, please put it on the next album! A great story song to play next to Betterman in concert. "The river it rises and widens the seam". instant classic.

I noticed the lack of No Code on most of the previous tour set lists. They were saving it all up for one incredible night. I had never seen Habit before and it was better than what I imagined. All the post No Code songs were incredible too. Brain of J, Garden, In Hiding; Holy #$@$. GA pit was high fiving for every song like we just won a national championship. Loved it.

Just want to say congrats to all who were at this show. Can't wait for the boot.
Show me another band whose fans get geeked out for shows they didn't even go to. ^:)^ So awesome how they keep coming up with new ways to give back. I can't even be pissed I wasn't there. Just proud of these guys as odd as that sounds, just that they would play a show like that. Proud that I'm their fan.

I need that Moline poster too, like NEED it.

OK, so my wife and I just got back from Moline after visiting with friends, and going to last nights show. I have been going to PJ shows with my wife for over 20 years, and she tells me on the car ride home that she really wanted to hear Sirens and Betterman and she did not like the set list.

So my question is, should I leave her?

  • Great show. Great band. So happy to have been in the building last night for my 8th PJ concert. I will always remember my first in '94 at the Chicago Stadium and Wrigley was an experience on many levels, but No Code in Moline is now at the top. The connection between this band and their fans is hard to explain in words, but it was on full display 24 hours ago.

And reading the setlist thread from my hotel room at 1:30am was an added bonus. It was with a big smile and welled eyes that I enjoyed your experiences as the night unfolded. Thank you all for your contributions to a wonderful evening. I can't wait to do it again.
