    We are not a particularly cab heavy or friendly city, but it is possible. While the Joe is easy to get to, parking around it can be a nightmare. Most Detroiters have 'their spots' and use the People Mover (don't ask) or just walk over but this would be hard to explain without knowing the city. Uber and Lyft are around here and might be your best option.
    People mover isn't too difficult IMHO. It only goes one direction, so as long as you know what stop to get off at, you're good. Joe Louis has a stop, so that makes it easy. They have a map on their website: thepeoplemover.com/WE-LL-TAKE-YOU-THERE!.id.2.htm
    And you can't beat the 75 cent fare. I would suggest parking at Greektown Casino, it's free and has a people mover stop right in it.
    Thanks for the tip, that will save us some time/money figuring out where to park!

    Where the Wings play Wednesday? I was hoping the Wings vs Leafs on Friday was in Detroit, but they play in Toronto on Friday and Detroit Saturday? Would have made a gat weekend

    Yes, it has an adjacent parking garage. Not really a tailgating spot.

    Thanks. Ok not looking to tailgate. I'm staying at a hotel nearby and would rather not walk back after the show so I'll drive the short distance to and from.

    I don't personally recommend parking on the street, but that is just my opinion.

    your car may get broken into. you will be in detroit after all, the poorest and most run down city in the united states. this will make for a good show!
