I bet Ed had lunch there
Chili smells good, we are at Detroit Beer Co. Maybe post show, we'll come back
Shit, years ago there was some fucked up shit happened there. Some of chellys staff were murdered at his restaurant. It was crazy.

Vedder just left. No lie, drinking a Starbucks. I'm guessing a tea. Said hi to Chris, they went outside and had a pic taken under the PJ sign.

I'll admit, it moved a little

Anyone pick up reserved tix for another city? Are they wanting just photo id? Do they want you to show the card you used to pay or anything like that?

Packing some last minute stuff! Hitting the road from Brooklyn NY at 4AM!

Whoa! 10 hour drive on the day of the show! Yikes! I was being nosey - not sure what route you are taking but appears you will have some ramp closures and other mild construction - toll roads are no biggy. Drive safely! @-)
We are here! Great drive. Zero traffic, heavy rain at times but otherwise awesome. We're amped!
    \m/ welcome!
Oh please let it rain today.

Anyone have any suggestions for things to do Friday after the show? Maybe a good breakfast spot or lunch? Any sites we should see? Should we venture over to Windsor?

For breakfast/brunch, The Hudson Cafe is amazing...graham cracker crusted french toast and red velvet pancakes amongst many other choices!
My favorite spot in Detroit is Green Dot Stables, a good spot for lunch or dinner...$3 sliders, $3 drinks.
Roast is a really fancy restaurant in the Westin but to avoid the priciness, do happy hour there--great food and drinks for a tiny fraction of the cost of a meal!

I wouldn't pass up the Motown Museum either, assuming you like music. If you like art, the DIA is a beautiful museum. Have fun! I'd explore Detroit rather than Windsor :)
Thanks for the recs. Our group made it to Green Dot Stables for some preshow beers and sliders. That place was great.

But the highlight of the trip may have been The Hudson Cafe. Graham cracker crusted French toast was amazing. As were the eggs Benedict.

This is all fiction, but good lord.....please no fox theatre. Would it be a cool small venue event? Sure. But I'd rather not see them with theatre seats. State Theatre next door, though? Maybe even St. Andrews? That would be epic.

That's funny because I almost typed the State Theatre instead. I'd rather that it would be a GA show also.

I just figured between both fictional shows that would most likely never happen, that the Fox may be more likely to happen & would have a better chance of happening when it came down to 2 shows that probably won't ever happen.

I do agree, a GA show at the State would be great!

It's been so long since I've been to the State. Isn't the stage there a little lower? If I remember right, when I was on the floor there I could only see the performers from the waist or knees & up. Not sure if that makes sense but you may know what I mean.

I think the last time I saw a show there was probably NOFX in '11 or '12. You're right about the stage. If you're real close, the stage goes to about your shoulders (I'm 5'9''). It's just such a good venue. My buddies went to see STP there in '07 - with Scott - and said it was the best show they've ever seen....."it was like the 90s again, for 1 more night. Moshing, crowdsurfing" St. Andrews would be on a different level than that, I believe, and has a ton more history. If you're on the side of the back stage area there, you see a huge Chili Pepper on the wall that was drawn by Flea from their '91 tour, which I believe PJ was on as well at some point.
