  • Can't fuckin wait for this! First time in Detroit. Not only am I a huge PJ fan, but also a die hard Red Wings fan too, so am pumped for the Wings game the night prior!

As for the show, being Detroit Rock City, the only show ever at the Joe, I think they boys could come out swingin, Breakerfall, Go, Animal, MYM, Lightning Bolt... I think that sounds like a nice way to open the show....

P.S. If anyone can help a guy out with a GA or 4, it would be muchly appreaciated... I know 4 is alot.. but if I can start with 1....

Are we there yet....? Can't wait for this night. First show in DET. First concert in over a year after a nasty concussion last year. Saw PJ in Buffalo 4 days after the concussion - may have been a poor decision (for my health), but you know...Pearl Jam. Better days ahead!

Curious, are cabs easy to get in Detroit, or easy to drive to the Joe? Hotel is a little further than we thought.

We are not a particularly cab heavy or friendly city, but it is possible. While the Joe is easy to get to, parking around it can be a nightmare. Most Detroiters have 'their spots' and use the People Mover (don't ask) or just walk over but this would be hard to explain without knowing the city. Uber and Lyft are around here and might be your best option.

People mover isn't too difficult IMHO. It only goes one direction, so as long as you know what stop to get off at, you're good. Joe Louis has a stop, so that makes it easy. They have a map on their website: thepeoplemover.com/WE-LL-TAKE-YOU-THERE!.id.2.htm
And you can't beat the 75 cent fare. I would suggest parking at Greektown Casino, it's free and has a people mover stop right in it.
