I'm thinking you are the cool guys who had the "MASH" set-up by the misting tent, huh? Glad I found that spot! It was an amazing (although hot) weekend and I really enjoyed hanging out with all 6 of you (including guljor94, if I have the right bunch of guys)....This is Pat (and Paul) from the armpit of the South. SO WORTH the trip, I wouldn't change a thing except maybe turn the heat down 10 degrees or so. So cool to have such an experience with my boy, glad you enjoyed him and hope he didn't hog the guitar too much.......PJ fans are the best!!! Glad you made it home safely.

That was all us. Your son's got some skill with the guitar. If he goes big, tell him we should get fan club numbers 1-6, so our seats are always front middle. :)

Hope you found Hendrix's grave and got a rubbing off it.

    Cheers!

maybe we should thank them....the steroid muscle pumping set.... the second night the 10c gang actually seemed organized...they divided the hundreds of tickets alpahbetically and had lines for each letter... WOW what a concept... AMAZING.. when we asked the 10c group why it was so much better on night 2 they said.."everyone showed up at the same time yesterday.." let's think about that... the show starts at 7 and gates open at 4.. do you think people are going to show up around... 5?

one more remark about the steroid set... I think they showed up in SF on night II... pushing and elbowing their way up to the front and making it awful for those who were there at 9:00 am in line waiting for a good spot....

Well at least the steroid abusers had some benefit we did get our tickets in 3 minutes on Sunday ... keep up those steriod shakes.. or shots or whatever....

Night 2 was a far better experience for me then Night 1. I was more relaxed and seemed to have more room in our row this night. Either we had some row crashers night 1 or a row full of broad sholdered people. I was able to dance around Sunday with out worrying about disrupting other fans.

I was also surprised by the ending of the night. Yellow Ledbetter came on and I was stunned. No intro by eddie, just the first couple bars by Mike. Since I was at the State College show in '03 I was expecting an epic long set as well. But then I remembered what Ed said on the Buffalo '03 bootleg about the second to last show being the band's favorite show. So he proved himself right with these two shows. Coming from PA to see these shows I cannot say I was disappointed. They were both great in their own regard. Our tickets were even two rows closer Sunday night (section B row 8).

The band definitely did not have the energy as it did Saturday. But they still played great, the music created the energy for them. I guess "Same Shirt Ed" wanted to get the feeling of the camping experience by wearing the same clothes as the night before. Thanks to all around us that shared my energy as the band rocked on. I said to my friend that I wish they would let Mike play some blues and they ended up kicking into Little Wing, funny how that happens sometimes.

I got to meet some great fans, I only wish I could have met some more. I also wish I could have hung out with Wayne and Lynn some more, you guys are one of the nicest couples I have ever met. Let me know what you decide to do with the harmonica, hopefully on display and not in a bank safe deposit box.

    Until next tour....

I just realized that we didn't get REARVIEWMIRROR at either show. That's kinda weird for a 2 night stand in one city. Great fucking shows. Thank god we have bootlegs to help relive the shows.

I wish I could remember which song this was.

Lot’s of backup singing from everyone on the 2006 tour so far.

The RAT’S chorus stood out to me. Everyone except Ed and Mike singing the quick - RAT’S – part.

I wasn't paying attention to were I parked in the camping lot on Saturday night. My reward was a 1 1/2 hour walk through the campground. I'm glad I'm in decent shape!

No ones fault but my dumb ass for not paying attention.

Has Eddie ever sung the whole of Little Wing before? I know they've done it instrumentally before (Alpine '03 YL tag, for example...) What a treat to get the full version.

Swede, that was you starting the football chant? I should have figured...

Sweet setlist - I totally preferred it to Gorge I...but I'm glad I went to both shows!

I enjoyed the show a lot and had great seats but I also thought the band and the crowd had way more energy on Saturday night. I was in 8th row so I had a pretty good view and Ed was clearly struggling in terms of energy compared to night one. Understandable though after Sat.'s amazing show and how hung over he appeared. Although the concert was long it did seem to just end very abrubtly. The "we want more" chant (it wasn't "one more song") happening down front was a little uncomfortable too. All in all a great experience though once again.

not sure if I am the first naysayer to post here or not but my friend and I, along with those people camping near us were a bit disappointed with this show.

My friend and I went out from CT and saw the 3 SF shows which just had an unreal intensity to them IMO. Missing some songs but overall good setlists but the band really seemed to perform IMO like THOSR were the final shows of the tour.

Expectations were so high on our end going into the gorge and after N1 was a decent show but nothing awe-inspiring to us when compared with other shows this tour, we REALLY had night 2 built up.

I liked the setlist on N2 but at the end I, and I think most of you judging by how many people stayed in their reserved seats for so long after the show, were left saying "thats it?"

Unreal tour this has been with some super shows, this is the final spot of the US tour, its at the incredible incomparable gorge, its their hometown show, all the media outlets - and even some of the generic gorge employees wondering how late they would be working - were antiipating a 3+ hour blowout, their first time playing 2 nights there, all the campers stuck it out in 100+ weather for 2 nights, it was a smaller crowd but by many opinions it would thus be described as a more hardcore crowd with lots of dedicated fans remaining while others deemed night 2 not worth missing a day of work on monday for, or just decided wasnt going to be worth the heat for another day.

and then blah. seemed to anticlimactic to us. Like i said it was a cool show but really felt like more of just another show than it did a tour ending emotional rollercoaster. i saw eddie pick mike up on his shoulders in NJ, gave out like 298 tambourines one night in SF, mike smashed a guitar one night in SF and ed tried to surf on it......ill have to compare my videos to see what was what but cameron's drum solo one night in SF was out of control.....its possible it was similar in length/quality to the one he did at the gorge on N2 but still, that was the only real sign of passion that made it seem like the gorge shows, N2 specifically, were as special to them as they made it sound when they were talking between songs.

it seemed TOTALLY primed for another set at the end of the show. so much so that when they show was over I just sat there, and rushed to get a new battery into my camera anticpating all hell was goingt o break loose. It was like "bam, ok, we just did a really good 06 tour show.....but just any ole 06 good show, now we are going to come out and show you how we blow that out of the water with one more set, maybe an acoustic, or maybe filled with long lost covers, but one more set special to those that stuck it out at the gorge, special to the final show of the tour, special to our hometown etc etc..."

    but there was nothing.

I almost wonder if there was one more set but they didnt do it because of the crowd. Crowd was really weak during most singalongs on N2 I thought and offered about the weakest cheering between encores/sets I have ever seen. It was the first show I saw where it seemed like everyone was like "ok, now we wait and they will come back out" whereas that is understood at all other shows but out of respect the crowd cheers chants and howls them back out anyway, as if it wasnt a planned encore.
