    i do not think any single conservative would bother to find out how other countries handle it, for fear that they might see that there is a better way than the "american way" in which we handle things like this.

    why don't we want illegals here ?.....well right off the top of my head I can think of 3 billion reasons...and the reason will increase by a billion a year every year after that but that's o.k. right ? because you damn "mericans" are all rich and spoiled so you can afford it.......and the laws of this land only aply to the people that can afford to break them.

    If I were to go into Mexico illegally I'd be arrested immediately and sent to one of their grungy prisons for a long time. Pretty sure that's how it works in every country except this one. Thats why other countries dont have the problem. If you don't believe that then I dare you to try entering another country illegally.

    Look at the Marine that's been locked up in Mexico for accidentally crossing the border. I wonder why Obama isn't getting him freed? Wait, I know, that would work against his agenda. I mean considering the circumstances and all, couldn't go to battle for that guy.

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ X every year the tax payers support these people, it wont stop with just this issue happening now,once the flood gates are open (by obama) they will keep coming in hords,it will be a field day for the cartels..they'll be opening new shops in the states and murder and drug sales will sky rocket adding to our already over crowded prison system and and more $$$$$$$$ to deal with just that issue...look what happened to Florida in the 70's when Castro sent everybody by boat to Miami, it's nice to have a good heart but people also need to think about the long term.

    mexico was not built on "give me tired, your poor," etc. we have a fucking statue/monument that states it. if you don't like it, maybe we should stop advertising it on a world famous monument?? you know, just sandblast the text off of there or something.

    It's not the same thing as the Cuban refugee crisis. In that incident, I would agree with you that it wasn't a situation to completely embrace: Castro was deliberately sprinkling in 'undesirables' with genuine refugees. The people streaming in from Mexico are overwhelmingly authentic people looking for a better life- not a handout.

    The cartels are not looking to 'open shop' in the US- they have a stranglehold on their own country and are served quite well with the current arrangement without agitating their superpower northern neighbour and motivating them to large scale actions detrimental to current way of life. Your concern isn't legitimate in my mind.

    now let's talk mexico & its people, both decent & not so decent mexicans.

    the drug cartel(s) are already here & in every state, every city & they are doing a booming business. opening new shops as you call them has already happened & will continue to be happening. there is no stopping this organized crime style of drug smuggling.

    but, chadwick, how can you say that? well because i just did & it is simple to understand. people are paid off rather they like it or not. rather they like it or not truck loads of whatever drug will be coming across the border, flying in, shipped up rivers, oceans, tunneled under & in & smuggled by runners & who knows how else.

    building a 97 ft tall fence along the entire length of mexico & the u.s. is hilarious & will do nothing but waste big dollars.

    there are more great, wonderful, hard working mexicans than lowlife hitmen working for whichever cartel.

    another thing to think about is this... mexico has corruption. this does not mean everyone is a killer. it means they wanna eat & may sling a little dope or do what have you to feed their families faces.

    i am willing to bet 87-91% of all americans have no idea what a mexican drug cartel is, what they do, where they are & so on. sophisticated is an understatement. making drugs legal across the board is the first step in calming this fucking zoo down a notch or two, not building a wall fence.

    the canadian border is a drug smugglers paradise... fuck it. steer fishing vessels into seattle & bellingham harbors & docks. simple shit & is done regularly from vessels all over the world.

    I said if "I" were to go into Mexico illegally. It's a hypothetical statement to use as an example. It's a very good example because of the irony. I said you can try to enter any other country illegally because it wouldn't matter what country because the result would be the same. Comprende?
    While we are at it we should just tear up the constitution and pretend that never existed because lately the constitution appears to not exist.
    What's up with all the "you conservative" bullshit? I voted for Obama in 08 fyi. I don't like tying myself down to a particular party. I dont vote for someone only because they are democrat or republican. I'm not afraid to admit when we have a serious problem in washington. I don't care what party anyone is associated with. I recognize bullshit regardless of the
    Party and call them out. Is this president infallible? It seems to some he is.

    Calling someone something as if it is a curse is easier than discussing the situation when your position makes little to no sense.
