What kind of crazy person would stay in one country for a show in another country? Who did your booking? That's ridiculous. :Pafroannnie said:Is anyone else staying in Slovenia for the Trieste show? What are your plans for traveling to and from the show? Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated
My assistant started the booking and I finished it...then I realized it was not in Italy...:P But hey, it's not that far from the venue :PShow #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -
Maybe someone local could chime in, but seems i read you'll have to take a bus... no train service into Slovenia.... By the time we realized we were going the hotels were booked, we passed on the Solvenia option and choose to stay in Mestre Venice.. Then drive to the show... anyone else driving from Venice? Caravan?????Post edited by myoung321 on"The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera." - Yusuf Karsh

yea you you'll be fine... It's a EU country so no major crossing the border issues, that I know of..
Plus my friend Borat said you can get lots of taxis in Slovenia."The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera." - Yusuf Karsh

my wife and i are camping in sistiana near monfalcone. We were planning to hitch a taxi but if anyone driving from venice wants to let us hop on that would be awesome! We can help split the cost down a bit and it sounds like fun!myoung321 said:Maybe someone local could chime in, but seems i read you'll have to take a bus... no train service into Slovenia.... Hey jenfarr! Nice, I live in Sayreville now but was born and raised in Jersey City. How long have you been in Hoboken? We'll have to meet up for a drink!Jenfarr said:

Definitely tedeeruxpin! I've lived in Hoboken for over 15 years, grew up in Bergen County. There are some other Hoboken people going to Venice (21st) and then Trieste that I "met" here and we are now FB friends. We should all definitely drink lots of wine together!

I have quite a few friends that grew up in Bergen County so I'm familiar with the area. Yes wine definitely! I'm so excited to try some Italian wines in Italy. Before I go to Trieste I'm staying on a vineyard for a couple of days in Gorizia, Italy and will explore that region and their vineyards a bit. But yes I'd love you meet you and some other Jersey people and drink wine!

All "Jerseys" are welcome to drink wine while in Trieste! I think there may be a pre-party on the 21st, but we will be in Venice that night. But if we can figure out somewhere to meet on the 22nd (we have 10C seats, so no rush to get to the stadium for us) or the 23rd, that would be fun!"McCready played on, lending credence to the theory that he was actually built in Stone’s basement from spare truck parts and vinyl records." - Glide Mag. review of MSG 7/8/030

How are people getting from Trieste to Vienna. With the little research I did, it stated it would take 10 + hrs by train, WTF. There HAS to be an easier way. Need some HELP, thanks. So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)
What You Giving
I suggest you step out on your Porch.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh, See the World!0 -
This is the one part of my trip that isn't set in stone yet, I'm either going to fly or take the train. Right now we're leaning toward the train, it's about an 8 hour train ride I believe but there are night trains if you don't want to waste a day on the train.guacamolejoe said:How are people getting from Trieste to Vienna. I am taking the train back to Venice the day after Trieste and am taking an over from Venice to Vienna departing the night of the 24th and getting in early morning on the 25th. Cost seemed reasonable given I wouldn't need a hotel room and did opt for my own private compartment.guacamolejoe said:How are people getting from Trieste to Vienna.
