I am coming from New Jersey and this will be my first European show. I'm so stoked!! Looking forward to seeing you all.

I'm from NJ too and this is my first European show as well!

From Hoboken here! NJ will be well represented!
Hey jenfarr! Nice, I live in Sayreville now but was born and raised in Jersey City. How long have you been in Hoboken? We'll have to meet up for a drink!
Definitely tedeeruxpin! I've lived in Hoboken for over 15 years, grew up in Bergen County. There are some other Hoboken people going to Venice (21st) and then Trieste that I "met" here and we are now FB friends. We should all definitely drink lots of wine together!

I have quite a few friends that grew up in Bergen County so I'm familiar with the area. Yes wine definitely! I'm so excited to try some Italian wines in Italy. Before I go to Trieste I'm staying on a vineyard for a couple of days in Gorizia, Italy and will explore that region and their vineyards a bit. But yes I'd love you meet you and some other Jersey people and drink wine!

    So excited!!!!

Haha sure that counts...the more the merrier!

All "Jerseys" are welcome to drink wine while in Trieste! I think there may be a pre-party on the 21st, but we will be in Venice that night. But if we can figure out somewhere to meet on the 22nd (we have 10C seats, so no rush to get to the stadium for us) or the 23rd, that would be fun!

This is the one part of my trip that isn't set in stone yet, I'm either going to fly or take the train. Right now we're leaning toward the train, it's about an 8 hour train ride I believe but there are night trains if you don't want to waste a day on the train.

I am taking the train back to Venice the day after Trieste and am taking an over from Venice to Vienna departing the night of the 24th and getting in early morning on the 25th. Cost seemed reasonable given I wouldn't need a hotel room and did opt for my own private compartment.

Sorry screwed up the reply! But we're taking a train back to Milan the day after the show and flying to Vienna from there. It's a little roundabout but we didn't want to take on overnight train and it didn't cost was reasonable.

    This is just a suggestion....

I looked up the car rental option and I'm not sure if it's because I'm from South Africa I can get a better rental because of the exchange rate... I can get a MiniBus (9 seater - that's what we call it) from Venice on the 21st to Vienna on the 24th (we can leave Trieste on the 23rd) and without fuel and tolls it'll work out to +/- $1000 / 580GBP / 720Euro at my current exchange rate....

That might get 6 people there comfortably with luggage and 8 at a push - My wife and I are 2, I want to see if I can get another 4 people to suggest this as an option.

We can split fuel and tolls, not sure if everyone wants to travel from Venice, but it's quite central from Milan and for those only attending Trieste in Italy going through to Vienna after this might be the way...

I have an International Drivers license, not a big drinker and an European Citizen, so I've got all the boxes ticked to do this without too much hassle. I just have to get use to driving on the left hand side of the road again.

    So... anyone keen?

    Thanks,
    Francis

Pretty sure in Italy you drive on the right side, only the UK is on the left.

Hi, me and my girlfriend are coming to Trieste too!
Shitty thing that I did not know of this forum before though, I bought tickets to the prato area through seatwave in an exaggerated price, and now I see here dozen of posts that sell GA tickets in value price...
If anyone by any chance is travelling from Venice to Trieste at the day of the show by car,
or coming back from Trieste to Milano the day after the show, by car also, me and my girlfriend would love to join and share the rent price. the train to Trieste from Venice is leaving too early and the train from Trieste to Milano is a little bit hight priced..

Right - so I booked a Hotel in Slovenia (Casino Safir) and I'm looking to share a cab to and from the venue with some fellow fans.
I can offer a lift from Trieste to Vienna on 6/25 a.m. in my car....just chip in for gas....the ride should take 4:30hrs.

    Great! See you there! :)

Was I to include you as well, to express thanks? The place looks cool. If you are responsible for picking up the place, good job.

I have such expectation that Trieste show will be a cozy, relaxed one with some rarities.

Do you know when the Trieste show is about to start? According to TC mail, the early entry for Trieste is 3.40 pm, which seems very early taking into account that there is no opener and the shows usually start around 8-9 pm. For Vienna the early entry is at 6.15 pm.

for any of you still looking for a place to stay (Trieste is completely full!), my slovenian buddy recommended this resort/campground, right by the waterfront. Cabrides are 20€ to Trieste...which is alright....and the place is located right by the water with an 1km long beach... http://www.adria-ankaran.si
    cheers, Flo
