About that Kiss........WTF ?
(CNN) -- Not long after Michael Sam became the first openly gay player drafted to the NFL, some made clear his reaction was not welcome.
Shortly after learning of his selection by phone, a visibly emotional Sam turned to his boyfriend and kissed him

Do you think the team drafting him didn't know he kissed his boyfriend? They drafted an openly gay player.___________________________________________

Or are you talking about the reaction on Twitter? Because, yes, that is not going to help the Miami player's career.___________________________________________

Being gay IS a non-issue now, at least for most.
And speaking of most, I think anyone receiving great news would kiss their loved one.
The fact that this is a "story" is ridiculous.0 -
Its only an issue today if you are against it. I could care less if youre straight or gay. You now how many times I think about someone being gay per day....0. People who rally against gays and gay marriage will always have an issue with it. 10 years or 1000 years the issue will remain. I applaud Michael Sam for attempting to live the way he wants and who he is and not shying away. As for the NFL and its players, clearly some are not ready for this.callen said:Being gay will be a non-issue in 10 years.

This month gay marriage will have been legal for ten years here in Massachusetts. Life has gone on unabated.
Ten years from now we won't even blink when learning an athlete is gay.___________________________________________

Agree and it'll be a bit longer for those uncomfortable about seeing men kiss. And to be honest watched "I Love you Phillip Morris" this weekend and took a bit getting used to seeing Jim Carey and Ewan McGregor kiss. And I'm for equal rights and know it's not a choice. We'll all get used to it just take few more PDA's for some.hedonist said:Being gay IS a non-issue now, at least for most.

For those that where concerned by this, does it bother you seeing two attractive women kissing?10-18-2000 Houston, 04-06-2003 Houston, 6-25-2003 Toronto, 10-8-2004 Kissimmee, 9-4-2005 Calgary, 12-3-05 Sao Paulo, 7-2-2006 Denver, 7-22-06 Gorge, 7-23-2006 Gorge, 9-13-2006 Bern, 6-22-2008 DC, 6-24-2008 MSG, 6-25-2008 MSG0 -

yes, all the media attention will create debate and that might worry the owners for possible lost tickets sales.JimmyV said:Or are you talking about the reaction on Twitter? Because, yes, that is not going to help the Miami player's career.

I don't know for sure but I think as a team owner they/he are already thinking of ways to deal with the issue if it does not blow over quick.callen said:

We get used to/over things pretty quickly. Will be big deal for first few games, maybe later in season a player may say something but it'll become a non issue. Hope other players come out.Godfather. said:

The issue is the Miami Dolphins have been mired in controversy since last season. Now they have another one. Their players are idiots who (1) possess poor character attributes... and (2) do not know how to hide their poor character attributes by staying off social media and exposing themselves.Cliffy6745 said:

I don't know if it is a non-issue with most of the players. I'm sure every agent is calling their clients and begging them not to say or tweet anything stupid. I think we shall see lots of fines in the next year if he makes the cut.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0
