Can't wait to receive 'A Letter Home' LP in the mail (today?). Just read the Pitchfork review - I'll take a 6.3 from them, since they've got their heads so far up the asses of unknown indie stars that they don't seem to have time for actual quality rock music (see: any PJ review on pitchfork). http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/19295-neil-young-a-letter-home/CM189191 said:
Anyone else give 'A Letter Home' a listen yet? Oh and Joe, super jelly of you seeing Neil in concert in London, wowza.0

I heard a couple tracks on the radio. Sounds very old-timey - early Muddy Waters-type recordings.adusick said:

I had an original pressing in my virtual shopping cart, and couldn't pull the trigger. I read it was recorded in a phone-booth sized recorder, was afraid it was just Neil & Jack a capella. Happy to hear there's some guitar & piano accompaniment. (not sure how they got the piano in the phone booth, tho. Must have been just outside.) Wish I picked it up when I had the chance...oh well0

That's funny, i was wondering the same exact thing - "How'd they get a piano in a phone booth???"CM189191 said:

I'd keep an eye on the Third Man Store for that Neil album - I saw it was sold out, returned a few days later and it was back in stock, $20. There is also an 'add to wishlist' option, so I'm assuming they'll notify you when available.0

A little tidbit about Cincy got floated on page one. So far, the rumors are Denver and Cincy (take it at face value). I wonder if Minnesota will win out over Chicago for midwest shows...or maybe both.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.
