    My impression is simply from trying it during the awesome 36 hrs I spent in the Twin Cities. I liked it a lot, best beer I had there and I tried a different brand at every pub we went to.....will have to wait till my next visit to see if something else can beat it.

    I was an adamant non-drinker until well into my 20s (I was way into the hxc scene and straightedge). It's not for everyone. I have a friend who drank a lot in college and finally realized that he needed to stop completely. He did and he's fine.

    At the same time, alcohol doesn't have to be the evil some people think it is. I certainly thought it was for a long time, but like everything, moderation is key. I definitely don't think it's unique or weird that someone doesn't drink. But I also don't think there's anything bad or wrong about if you do it within reason. I think most people here who drink do so within reason.

    In all seriousness, I didn't expect the Gophers to win today, but I also didn't expect them to play Ohio State the toughest of anyone this year (aside from Virginia Tech). Say what you want, but the Gophers played better than I would've expected. A bad Illinois road loss suddenly becomes glaring (as it should), because for any chance of a Big Ten Championship rematch, the Gophers need to beat Nebraska and Wisconsin on the road. I actually think the Gophers can win one of those games, but two would be tough...

    i'm going to japan tomorrow through sunday, so at least i get to get away for a bit. it's for work and we'll only be there a full three days, so it won't be a vacation or anything, but i'm excited to gp; who knows if i'll ever get to go again, you know?
