Secularism refers to a State in which the government and religion are separated. That's not the case with Israel, which is asking that it be recognized as a Jewish State.

And I already posted a long list of discriminatory policies in place inside Israel, right here in this thread. Maybe you should take a look at them? (Oh, sorry, I forgot; you're not interested in facts backed up by sources. You're just interested in opinions, right?).

One more thing, the show you watched on t.v: did it show you what life is like in the occupied Palestinian territories?

Stones, lady gaga, justin timber lake, and soundgarden all could be playing in 2014.

As far as life in the "occupied territories", their own "governments" own that responsibility.

Peace can be negotiated.

No they don't. The occupying power is responsible for those under occupation.

Some of these same people are getting all upset cos Macklemore wore a wig and a big fake nose prosthetic at a show. They said he was being anti semetic and it's all over the media. He wasn't. He was just being a rock star. But they're weirdo quiet about innocents being shot on a daily basis. So completely screwed up.

I find it strange I didn't hear anything about this until recently. Israel's former Prime Minister sentenced to 6 years for bribery & corruption to approve controversial housing settlements? Where's the outrage?!

Typical.Not a word from the Pro Palestinian/Hammas lovers on this board about the 3 kidnap,beaten,tortured and murdered Israeli kids (1 American)2 weeks ago that Hammas applauded.But this gets posted.SMH.
Although I do not support the action against this young man.or violence against any innocent. I would ask what were the kids doing?Playing ball,hanging with friends,etc?No I believe they were protesting in some fashion.I would like to hear both sides of this.

Actually, the latest developments in the region make it even more clear how biased corporate media and western leaders are, and how far Israel's government will go to win favour. The IDF kills two Palestinians during nakba day protests, ON TAPE, and nary a word from international leaders. Three Israeli settlers are kidnapped and killed, and western leaders condemn Hamas without a shred of evidence. Meanwhile, the Israeli government, knowing full well that the three settlers were already dead, use the manhunt and body search to detain without charge hundreds of Palestinians, to murder several people, to impose curfews in the biggest army mobilization in years, to terrorize Palestinians all over the West Bank, and to begin aerial bombardment of gaza once again. They may be prepping for further military action against gaza. Then, acting on calls for vengeance by a chief rabbi, and incitement from bibi himself, another Palestinian is kidnapped, tortured, and burned alive by suspected Israeli settlers. A price tag killing. Again, where is the outrage from western leaders? As max blumenthal pointed out the other day, all we hear is how this is a 'cycle of violence', as if there are two equally at fault, equally strong sides locked in a power struggle. As if one side is not oppressor and the other the oppressed. As if there is no illegal occupation.
