    this reminds me of that ad before the yankees/red sox a year or 2 ago, where alec baldwin and jim from the office are on the phone. baldwin says "rivalry? that's like saying grass has a rivalry with lawnmowers, or costa rica has a rivalry with the united states."

    The one and only correct answer is Pearl Jam. I will qualify my answer and say that I liked Godsmack quite a bit back in the day. I saw them live twice and they are good live for sure. Their debut is a solid album beginning to end, similar to (but not better than) Ten. As for who's better, it's not even close.
