    I learn so much from these threads. First off I dont no how all of you can love grunge music so much and hate nu metal so much. Get over it grunge was in the 90s. Who says you cant listen to newer music? Alot of the nu metal bands are influnced by nirvana and pearl jam.

    Comparing PJ to Godsmack is a weird comparison for sure. But I love Godsmack, very powerful music and they put on an incredible live show. Sully is incredibly talented, he is the lead singer, plays guitar and also plays the drums. Shannon Larkin who is a great drummer and he and Sully do a drum battle that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen at a show.

    Secondly - "a lot" is two words.

    I was down with grunge at the time, but that was so long ago. I didn't dig PJ because of the grunge tag or the other bands involved in grunge. I dug PJ becasue they were fucking awesome and still are... period. It's music to me not a genre..

    Personally I am not a Nu-metal fan. If I want to hear real metal I throw on Meshuggah! Jens Kidman would knock Sully's dick in the dirt any day of the week!!

    Is this a serious thread and/or question? Godsmack is barely a band. They ripped off everything and everyone ... especially Mad Seasons and AIC. A better question to pose would have been who is better AIC or PJ? Godsmack is to AIC what Creed is to PJ.

    Well since Godcrap was and still is a Alice in Chains cover band....Took their name from a AIC song....there can be only one and Layne died years ago. Seriously Godcrap is crap

    Is this for real? One of the best and most influential bands of the last 20 years vs. one of the most boring derivative and godawful (besides Creed mind you) bands of the last 20 years? You guess which one is which.

    first off I im not joking. Maybe playing the devils advocat a little bet but I like pearl jam more. Second, I dont think its cool for people to call Godsmack Godcrap. Its not fair to the band or (or to God for that matter) Ive never realy listened to alice in chains but i doubt Godsmack RIPPED off them. Thats like saing pearl jam ripped of the doors or something.
