Godsmack couldn't even name their band without ripping off AIC.

Chalk up another # 1 album for Godsmack ! The Oracle debuts at # 1 on 5 of Billboards charts.

Yeah, there's a lot of douches in this country that like to wear cheesey Oakley sunglasses, bowling shirts with flames on them, and get "tribal" tattoos. Sales mean nothing more than that even NASCAR gets 100,000+ people in a stadium to watch cars go left for 5 hours. Doesn't make these people necessarily intelligent.

    Cool stat, dude.

I think neil young has one number one song in his career. heart of gold.

so i guess that means artist like 50 cent is better then him.

Who cares? Britney Spears sells a ton of records- do you consider her talented? Godsmack is mindless, talentless, wannabe rock.

I would agree with this. Neil Young is the most overrated artist in music history and 50 Cent's "In Da Club" might be the best hip hop song ever recorded.

  • WTF ? serious like, who's better ? Pearl bloody jam. simples.

godsmack are AIC wannabes. even copied their logo. saw them live a good few years back when they were debuting their awake album, and they were good. very good, as is that album, but i've gone off them. after that they became too generic and boring.

PJ is PJ. :-) and because of that they can't be topped.

this is a no contest. knock out in the first round. winner by unanimous decision ....
...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. Their music is full of subtle textures, rich color, soul-searching power, imagery, and eerie dissonance.

Nope, I don't care for Neil Young. I know its sacrilegious here but I'm just not a fan.

50 cent is definately a better rapper than Neil Young.

i hope this thread question was a joke

here's two better questions for you:

how much does godsmack pail in comparison to pearl jam?
how many more of jerry cantrell's riffs can godsmack steal?

Godsmack might not be the next Mozart, but they could be the next Grozart.

(If you get that, you're probably the coolest person on this board.)

Those do sound similiar. I'm not a huge Godsmack fan but I don't understand the hate for them. A few of their early hits are really kickass.

For me the thing is that pearl jams cd's ten and vs and avacado and backspacer are great and ten and vs maybe my favoritew cds ever but the rest of there cds arent as good. Diffently no code and riot act or boring and have no rock songs. Every Godsmack album is good and faceless is up their with ten. If they have one not as good album its awake but even that rocks.

Run on sentences are no fun to read. Also spell check is convenient and easy to use. Please take the time to write coherently.
