Your right with it being different markets and with a bit of advertising i think MK will sell well eventually. You can't expect it to sell out 65,000 tickets when it goes on sale a few days before Christmas. It needs time. I've seen posts on other forums from casual fans that are waiting to buy tickets, they just think it's expensive and want to see support bands added before they commit.
I don't think it would impact the sales much if Leeds 2 gets announced.
Manchester 2009, Hyde Park 2010, Manchester 2012, Manchester 2012, Amsterdam 2012, Amsterdam 2012, Amsterdam 2014, Amsterdam 2014, Berlin 2014, Leeds 2014, Milton Keynes 2014
EV Manchester 2012
Not trying to put a dampener on this but we thought Seattle 2 was inevitable. I really hope we get a 2nd show.
Manchester 17.8.09, Manchester 21.6.12, Copenhagen 10.7.12, Manchester 28.7.12 (EV), Phoenix 19.11.13, San Diego 21.11.13, LA 23.11.13, LA 24.11.13, Vienna 25.6.14, Leeds 8.7.14, London 6.6.17 (EV), London 18.6.18, Krakow 3.7.18, London 17.7.18, Dublin 3.7.19 (EV)
I understand the thinking that people doing a second leeds show might not do MK, but I think not, I think all going to leeds would automatically add a second night to their agenda to give the two night setlist experience a blast.....
Maybe there will be another secret Shepherd Bush gig instead?

doubt we'll get a club show, that last one was a Promo event of sorts before the tour started, a bit of a warm up too.....to throw a club show in the middle of the tour would be strange, welcome of course, but strange
I think at this point a 2nd night isn't going to happen. Just my gut feeling. I think if night 1 had sold out straight-away like Amsterdam 1 did then night 2 would have gone on sale the same day but now I don't see it happening. I still find it weird it didn't sell out straight-away to be honest considering the small-ish capacity.

Agreed - not gonna happen.

Correct me if im wrong but when the 2012 was announced. 9 shows were announced at first, then came a 2nd Manchester show, followed by a 2nd Amsterdam show (both on sale the same day and the first shows) 2 additional shows were announced in January of 2012 (9th Jan??) One was Prague and the other was a second Berlin. Based on that we will get additional shows announced today. Wishfull thinking I know, but it is possible.
There's certainly space in the schedule for additional shows. Maybe with the lack of demand for a Leeds 2 show they are looking at other options in the UK. Glasgow would be ideal! ;-)
Agreed, sadly I think Leeds 2 is slowly losing all momentum...
As for not selling out as quickly as everyone had expected - my opinion is that the puplic are disgruntled at the current state of concert ticket sales in the UK. For popular events it's impossible to buy first-hand tickets and miraculously hundreds appear on these ticket re-sale websites like "sh*twave" and "viagogof**kyerself" So if people can easliy get of a first hand ticket i.e Milton Keynes Bowl, then they'd always go for that option.
getting back to the matter in hand. I vote for Scotland!!!
Year of Independence, Ryder Cup, and just like Eddie performing solo in London at the time of the Olympic Games, he could pop tae Glasgow for a wee visit tae the Commonwealth Games???
Leeds 2 is going to happen .... I believe it will..... No evidence sadly.... But I believe it will... And it will sell out within a week or so easily...
2nd show doesnt seem likely. If they announced it at the same time as Amsterdam, both nights would have sold out really quick. Im sure a lot of people have been holding off for 2nd night to get better seats or GA.
Im sure a lot of people have been holding off for 2nd night to get better seats or GA.
I did think that too. Maybe some people didn't want the last available seats in Tier 3 and were hoping a 2nd night would go on sale and they' d get a chance for standing or 'better' seating tickets.
I also know people from the UK who have decided to go for the gigs on the mainland rather than Leeds/MK and have a mini-holiday whilst catching a few gigs instead
