...speaking to a friend who knows the MK Bowl promoter, I get the impression there's still quite a few tickets yet to be sold for that gig... :(
How will that fair for a Leeds2 date?
did he give any idea as to how many?
the announcement of the support line up should have some impact
how does it affect Leeds? I expect there might have been a time period whereby MK were assured no dates would be added, but once that expires, just maybe the date will be thrown in. After all it would sell out without a shadow of doubt
he did say exactly how many but I'm sworn not to say - but there was allot more tickets left than I'd have thought! (considering the San Siro sold out just the other day and that was 80,000).
tbh usually I get emails daily offering tickets to every show in the uk, but not once since the first ticket release email have I seen the MK show being advertised.

is the place going to be half full? give us a clue!

I had emails from Ticketmaster & Live Nation early in the New Year mentioning the MK show.

Yet nothing for what 5 weeks? Not even seen an advert in the music press

Is the music press still out there?! I read yesterday that NME's weekly circulation is now under 20k readers.

It's such a shame it hasn't sold better. I never thought the band would be so bold as to book that venue even if it is just for one night. They don't have the same pull in the UK as bands like Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon do, unfortunately. It's a shame because it would have been a good indicator of how strong the fanbase is over here.
"Hey Eddie, great show-- fuck you!" PJ - London 25/6/10, Manchester 20/6/12 + 21/6/12, Isle of Wight 23/6/12, Seattle 6/12/13, Leeds 8/7/14, Milton Keynes 11/7/14, Boston 5/8/16 + 7/8/16 Ed - London 31/7/12, Amsterdam 27/5/17 + 30/5/17, London 6/6/17 + 7/6/17
Apperently the Green Day concert at the MK Bowl many years ago (when they were in their prime) sold more tickets than each of the two Foo Fighters dates a couple of years back...
Living quite local to the area, there are lot's of "emo's" running about in MK!
I don't think you'll get many of your average concert goer paying £70+ for a concert 5 months away, especially when the support acts haven't yet been announced (and with the UK weather outside being misserable!)
Exactly that. Until the support bands are announced will anyone really start buying tickets. I'm going to MK but haven't bought a ticket yet as there is no way it will sell out until they announce this.
The on the fence half fan will think £75 for just Pearl Jam at the moment is too much money. £75 for PJ with 2/3 quality support acts will be worth every penny.

Your right and there's probably quite a lot more people just waiting for them to announce support, but it's got to be good bands. It's still a lot of money for average support bands. They can't just bring Midlake or X.
I think they've got to be bigger bands with more appeal to get tickets flowing.
If they announced Pixies or Gaslight Anthem tickets will fly out.

EV Manchester 2012
Soundgarden are touring this summer and are in Europe so could drop in for that one. I'm not ruling it out so the UK/Europe gets TOTD songs. I would love to see that.
Pixes, soundgarden, band of horses, gaslight anthem, all would bring in a lot more people.
NME is pretty good online, but an absolute rag in print. total garbage
I think it is just as bad online to be honest!!

not that it matters but the san siro only seems to be around 60,000 due to the orientation of the stage
and that show has no doubt drawn in the Spanish and portugese whom were unrepresented on the tour.

That's karma for constantly critising bands such as PJ and Soundgarden =D>
