Hoping for under 20 songs, but 10-15 minute versions."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

????????
Would you please give us for the same Ticket Prices the same duration in Europe?
Thank you!
Weren't some of the US 2013 shows 'A night with Pearl Jam' with no support? I heard Leeds is, so I'd expect 32-37 songs ish, however I'd expect festival shows to be more like the 2012 Euro tour. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
I´ve never understood why longer is neccesarily better.
I´d much rather have a tight 28 song set than a sloppy 36 set, draining the audience completely as well.
Saw Springsteen last year.
And although he was good he just went on for too long. 3 hours +
You barely couldn´t stand afterwards and had no energy for the final 40 mins (or so) of the show.
Just my 2 centsRoskilde 2000, Berlin 2006, Athens 2006, Dusseldorf 2007, Copenhagen 2007, New York NY 1 + 2 2008, Berlin 2009, London 2009, London 2010, Berlin 2010, Manchester 2 2012, Berlin 1 2012, Stockholm 2012, Oslo 2012, Copenhagen 2012, Amsterdam 1 + 2 (EV solo) 2012, Amsterdam 1 + 2 2014, Stockholm 2014, Oslo 2014, Leeds 2014, Milton Keynes 2014, Heartland Festival DK (EV solo) 2017, Berlin 2018, Barcelona 2018, Copenhagen 2022, Prague 2022 (Cancelled)

Dear PJ, please play short sets in Europe. Just cannot have any spare time for sightseeing and shopping, because of those sets. What's your part, who you are?
2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin
2016: NY MSG 10 -
Pingfah wrote:25 - 30 songs per show is still way more than most bands would play, I think deeming that "lazy" is exceptionally unfair.
2 hours set in Europe (PJ I mean) is what we get.. since most places are very strict on curfew, generally 11pm (lots of venues are in the city centre and by-laws enforce it, and the ones outside centre people need to be able to catch public transport back, cars are less prevalent here), and since they don't start until 9 (assuming they're on time!), then they give themselves no leeway for longer sets.
as for 'An evening with PJ', there's been shows billed like that before and it made no difference in the running time (sometimes didn't even mean no opening band).
I'm not complaining, I've resigned myself to it, but that's certainly true.
that said, in 2012 the shows might not have been particularly long but they kicked ass0 -
