I waited for almost two hours, and finally said forget it. The temperatures were freezing and the line wasn't moving. It didn't open on time, it was almost 11:30am. They were letting only a certain amount of people in at a time, and it was not limited to 10c members like stated on the website. Basically anyone in line was allowed in, whether or not they had a gift, etc. From where I was in line when I left, it probably would have taken me another 45 minutes or an hour just to get inside. And an hour later, I read on Twitter that it was shut down until 4pm. Not sure what that was all about. Very disappointing experience today.

I got in line about 10:30 AM and got up to the stand at about 2 PM. So, 3 1/2 hours of waiting. Luckily, I met some cool people in line that made the time pass fairly quickly. I got the PJ20 LP which I passed up at last year's Pop Up Shop for $100 (though I believe it was $50 last year). Also, the Spokane poster (which is one of my favorites) and a bunch of 2013 tour stickers from various cities. Finally, snagged an Ames Bros shirt for $20 which is normally $34 on their website.

But yeah, they didn't check the membership cards or presents like they said they would. But the early entry thing was completely wiped out thanks to the huge lines. But, it's all good I guess as they collected a huge pile of gifts for the Tree Top charity so I tried not to grumble too much about it. There will be some happy kids come Christmas.

I got no feeling in my toes. Hopefully it comes back soon :lol:
  • I showed up at 7am. By 11 there were 300+. When I got out there were 150 in the store and 400 outside still? At least 1000 people showed up easily.

There were 61 people in front of me and pretty much ALL bought a Benny.

I could have sworn I saw the OG Ten album. Gone when I got there

They had TWO red vinyl LB's for $60 I think? Replacement and OG. Gone when I got there

    PJ20 Colored. Quite a few

    Merkin Ball 7"

    Mad season blue. Not many

Into the wild Pic disc. Gone when I got there

Orange Fixer was only $20. Not sure if that is a good price.

    Blue Fixer was 80.

I'm sure there was some other stuff that went super quick.

It was cold. Really cool people on line.

Not sure who won the raffles?

  • Scored a Benny and a Colored PJ20.
In the Mystery Box got the "Love Reign.." X-Mas single, LA 2000 Boot, stickers, white "Pacific Native PJ" shirt, EV Albuquerque shirt, Imagine in Cornice poster and a pack of Wrigley cards including George Webb.

There were some really cool items for raffle, uncut complete Wrigley card set, glow in the dark "Cameron Crowe Edition" PJ20, Band signed Swallowed Whole silkscreen skateboard and the Band Signed Epiphone Jack Cassidy Sig Bass. (Drools). Didn't win. Very happy with my scores though.

I was the guy in line right behind you. Had a good time talking and was glad to see you got the PJ20 LP. It was definitely a stressful day.

Last year, got there way early and got a lot. This year, was a different story. For starters, you had to have been the first in line to get the prized possessions (Benny, PJ20 colored, ITW, etc.). I tried to get up early, but after tying one the night of the show at Key Arena, just didn't happen. Also, it was 19 degrees this morning! I was about 80th in line, which wasn't good. All I really wanted was a red LB. I was shocked to hear they had a few RVM's and Riot Acts.

I bought the box-o-fun, a vault 3 vinyl, amongst the waves 7", and Ames Bros signed book (which is probably the coolest thing this year, for where I was in line).

So, lesson learned for next year.....wake up early and be the first in line, regardless what the weather is. Also, the prices were a lot higher this year, for example, PJ20 (Black) was $50, this year $100. They also had the Mad Season blue vinyl for $100. I couldn't bring myself to spend a $100 for a 10" single, when PJ20 was selling for $100.00.

In my opinion, this year's pop up shop was not nearly as good as last year's. I am in search of either a PJ20 Colored Vinyl or the Glow in the Dark (sealed).

$150 for Vault #3. It's about the fans, right??? There was no 11am early entry for 10c members today either.

  • Anybody remember what Vault 3 Vinyl went for when they put it on the site? The guy tried to sell me on it but I couldn't do it for $150. Swear I've seen it in a local LA record store for MUCH cheaper. Got PJ20 and the Unthought Known 45 though.

The "Bring a Gift Early 10 Club Entry" thing was a complete sham. Total false advertising.

Makes you think unless you're willing to camp out or freeze for close to 8 hours, only real shot at the "rare" items is eBay or to strike gold in a local record store...
  • Oh and my "Mystery Box" did not have Wrigley cards as advertised...
