Tool. Sometimes they surpass and become number 1 and probably will whenever they RELEASE A NEW FUCKING ALBUM

You took the words out of my mouth...but about a month ago I came to grips that I don't think they will ever put out an album again, just a hunch.
It'll happen. One more and that's it for the band.

TOOL hands down (only band I'd consider over PJ)...but My Morning Jacket, Tragically Hip will always be in the running :D

Bob Dylan, my favorite for over 50 years. PJ, number 1A
He is definitely amazing. :) Lots of great taste in music throughout this thread!

Nine Inch Nails - but they are not my 'second' favorite band - I like them 100% equally to Pearl Jam. Trent Reznor's creativity, artistry, and attention to detail never fail to astound me.
    R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

I thought about it long and hard and my answer is... Pearl Jam. Or if I can't say that, can I say Eddie Vedder solo? Pearl Jam takes places 1-100 for me. So if you want to know 101, I could do that, but it's probably Pearl Jam.
words seem so out of place.

  • Incubus and Guster fight for #2 a lot. Incubus has a much better consistent body of work that I love, but Guster has two albums that I think are absolutely amazing ("Goldfly" and "Lost and Gone Forever")

Right now, however, Guster is #2 and Incubus is #3
