Well, Bon Jovi are kinda the homeboyz up there.

Cinderella is from Philly too, as is Poison. They are a tribute to how cool Philly is. As is WAWA (the YIELD of late-night eats).

And why can't we do this???

And helping with the CCFA thing might not be a bad idea.. I just don't know how the logistics would work out with all of us in a parking lot in an RV.

Hands Bound is trying to organize a pre-show party/CCFA Fundraiser at a bar in Philly close to the venue.

Don't want to interupt your plans, but if someone could help her with suggestions, you would make me a grateful man.

    :D

    PBM
why not do the fundraiser at the RV party. 1000 jello shots sold for a buck a piece....unload as many as possible and the RV party participants polish the rest off before going into the show. Set up a table for donations...stuff like that...there is a combined effort for ya. I do not think having a bash across the river is such a great idea, and you'd never catch me in a Camden bar.

CCFA thing should be at 10am at dirty franks in olde city
then we drink there for 2 hours, then head over to tweeter when the lots open and the RV is set up for business

Wow...since about 5 people posted while I was typing....

Would it be feasible to do it at the RV party?

I don't want to impose on the party or anything...but it would be a relatively safe place to have it considering the area we are in (I'm small and easily frightened in Camden)...

    Any objections?

McFadden's will be a zoo. I just realized why PJ is playing the Tweeter isntead of the Spectrum.

The Tweeter is the only outdoor venue this leg.

The reason is the National Lacrosse Championships for the NCAA will be at the Linc that weekend and all the parking lots will be used for tailgating by lacrosse fans. I think the event was a sell out.

We may want to reserve the RV sooner instead of later, because I can think of a lot of tailgaters getting the same idea that weekend.

Not a bad idea.. but I don't like being a party to drinking and driving... at least on a large scale.

I like the RV fundraiser idea but don't know if its feasible.

Edit: I totally forgot about the lacrosse championships that weekend... was a blast last year. And yeah it will be crazy at McFaddens and RVs as far as the eye can see :D

I found a place close to the venue in Philly...if anyone has been there lemme know what it's like.

    Willie & Duffy's
    620 Chestnut St

I'm going to give them a call later today, but I just wanted to put out the info and see if anyone had anything to say about it.

That's just outside of Olde City right by Independence Hall. Never been there, but all I can tell you is parking would be a nightmare there.

I had already contacted my Dr.'s wife as of early yesterday (I have had Crohn's for 14 yrs. now), as she is the Phila area VP of the CCFA to see if there was some way we could do a little fund raising at/with the tailgate. I am waiting for her to get back to me.

We did the fundraiser thing at the last Philly show at a bar, and we didn't nearly have as many people as most of the other fundraisers did, because most people were at the tailgate. I would definitely have it there. Alls ya need is a folding card table and a megaphone, some tickets, a cashbox w/a lock, markers, a thingee for the tix and the fundraising stuff and you're good ta go.

I agree. The Toronto fundraiser was a great time.. and I got to meet jimmy for the first time... christ if I had only knew ;)

We're going to need a table or two anyway for the large spread so don't see anything that might be too hard to accomplish. Just need a megaphone. And I can supply markers since I do work for an ink and dye company....

Yeah, that was great. That downpour was much needed. It like 95 and the heat index over a hundred that day.
