    I know what's in hot dogs and how they're made (of course that varies hugely depending on the brand/type), but I don't care. It's still a part of the animal, and if it tastes good and doesn't have hard chunks in it and doesn't make me sick, it doesn't really matter to me! :P ..... I'm not into eating dog food though. ;) But seriously, dogs eat their own poop. Who cares how it's made as long as it's healthy for them? :lol:

    I know how dog food is made. Hell, I know a guy that used to chop up roadkill and feed it to his dogs.

    Dogs that eat their own poo is because they are fed poor quality dog food-their poo smells like their food, so they just eat it again-give them quality food to eat, and their poo will smell bad, so they don't eat it.

    My dogs have never eaten their own poo.

    I know that many dogs don't eat their own poop, but I have known dogs who are fed very healthy food but still do it... I think it can be a behavioral issue maybe. Anyway, gross.

    Lol poop eating is a psychological disturbance in dogs known as Coprophagia. It is unbelievably common, and while gross is in no way an actual harm to the dog. They simply get into a habit of doing so, I'm currently working on my sister's dog with this issue. I've sprinkled all the poop in the yard with Cayan pepper. I remember reading on this and that was a solution. Anyhow the point is.. In many many animals Coprophagia is very common. But in horses, if they're doing this, it a sign that they need more " filler hay" there's 16 hours of chew time required in their days!

    Tiiired. A nap is probably in order! I have four classes back to back (hour and 15 min long each) on Tues/Thurs...these days are killer for me!
