sure ... but then why not allow aluminum bats? ... corked bats? ... we'd get more home runs and that's the only thing that matters right? ... why not let pitchers scuff the ball and apply shit ... they are doing it now anyways ...0 -

His explanation behind the Sudden Power Surge, he adjusted his batting stance...Really?.....Really?
This shit is wide spread and Bud is trying to make an example out of A-Rod because he couldn't nail Clemens, Mcguire, Sosa, Etc.. Bud Knew, he Knew in the 90's (as did all the owners)and did nothing because it brought the fans back and everybody got Rich. Now he wants to act like some White Knight who's cleaning up the Game and has guys like you cheering him on. He's as guilty as any Cheater in the game.0 -

1. people have been accusing bautista for a while and he's always said that he will take drug tests anywhere at anytime ... but either way - if he was implicated ... no way i would cheer for that guy ...
2. i can't stand bud selig ... and you are right about everything you said but it still doesn't change anything about arod ... again - just like bonds before him and mcgwire ... he's taken the road of the coward ... plus, this is his second time getting caught ... he admitted to PED use before and told us how it was a horrible mistake ... and now, he's caught again!? ... fuck this guy ...0 -
I'm sure someone already came up with this theory. But what if Alex used Ped's with Biogenesis to come back from injury? Like Pettitte before him supposedly said he used them for. The years they said he was involved with them he was injured in basically all those years. It's not like he was at 100% these last few years. What if he was at 50-60% and wanted to get into playing shape? Will it change what people think if that was the case? Not saying whether it's right or wrong. I guess we'll keep know when everything comes out or when he tells his side.I miss igotid880

i never believed in santa claus, the tooth fairy or the easter bunny ... that shit isn't even the same ... what you are basically advocating is this "players cheat" therefore screw the rules ... that is absurd logic ... it's like saying drivers are gonna speed anyways ... let's just do away with speed limits ...
the rules of a game are put in place for various reasons ... you can argue the merits of each rule but a carte blanche open it all up doesn't make any sense ...0 -

RW81233 wrote:why doesn't it make sense? what's bad about PEDs? the health implications are overblown, and the reality is our steroid hatred stems from the fact that russians and germans invented them during the cold war era not 'merica. once again steroids are good for you. i'm not sure taking dead people's ankle sheaths or a ligament from your leg to put in your arm or hamstrings put in your knee are, and we celebrate those coming off of those surgeries. to me it makes little sense to celebrate the latter and ban the former
you honestly believe that steroids have been a gov't controlled substance all this time because some other country invented them? ... i guess the early death of flo jo and all these professional wrestlers is not related to steroids ...
either way - like i've said before ... if you can prove PEDs are safe than I will capitulate however, your rationale is based on the foundation that everyone is cheating in various ways anyways so, open it up ... that leap doesn't make any sense to me ... i will give you the example again ... a lot of drivers speed ... so, should we not have speed limits?0 -
roads? where' we're going there are no roads...umm i honestly don't really care for speed limits and rather the driving methods that take place in south and latin america where stop signs are optional and pulling a left hand turn in busy traffic requires pulling out in front of 2 lanes of oncoming traffic and honking your horn. are there accidents? sure...but generally people learn to do what they can do in a system of unwritten codes and agreements. those countries don't waste money, time, and court cases on cops sitting around all day waiting for someone going 10 mph higher than they are supposed to go. WADA is literally an administration that gets paid to find out what people put in their bodies and punishes them based on some sort of belief that we actually give a fuck about the health of our entertainers. can you imagine this in other industries? professors would be banned for pot and alcohol, keith richards would be serving a lifetime sentence for, well, everything, writers, lawyers, so on and so forth. the drug testing in all of these industries is either non-existant or ridiculously easy to pass. yet no one cares, it is what you said - a free for all. moreover, there's not really a push for the health of people in these industries so what makes sport special?0

WADA is an organization that is supposed to ensure that athletes compete on a level playing field ... it has nothing to do with their health ... if so, they wouldn't let athletes smoke or have mcdonalds at the olympic village cafeteria ...0 -

well, since its just entertainment, and there's no level playing field, and each player should just shoot themselves full of anything that makes them better...maybe one day, there will just be robots playing baseball. it'll be great.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0
