Buck loves to hear himself talk, doesn't he? He's probably still bitter that he was fired from the Yankees.

Maybe if he gave Strawberry a start in the 95 playoffs instead of sticking w/ Dion James & Randy Verlarde.. :fp:
Who the hell is Dion James?

    Exactly!

    That bad?

I think "Seinfeld" foresaw the future for Buck.

A friend of mine has been working on the new Fox Sports 1 channel. He said they will be airing a special on Mariano Rivera's final season at the conclusion of this season. (Obviously)... They have full access to him from Spring Training throughout the season. Should be an interesting peak into the life of Mo, since he is such a private person and doesn't allow many into his world.

My thoughts on the Arod pending suspension... Kind of goes with Showalter's rant, but different.

The Yankees should still have to feel the pain of the stupid deal the gave to Arod. Arod's salary should not count against the salary cap while he is suspended, but the Yankees should be forced by MLB to pay the salary Arod would have received to the RBI charity that brings baseball to places where it is not affordable. This way the team doesn't get screwed over with the salary cap, the owners still feel the pinch of their stupidity, and the game is helping kids in poor neighborhoods that would not have the opportunity otherwise.

So is this just for the yanks or should every team in the same situation be required to do the same.

I'm a Yankees fan, so I was only thinking that far... But now that you ask, why not make them donate the money to the RBI program? Investing in the future of the sport isn't such a bad idea.

I rather they donate to the resign cano fund, the yanks give more than their share to charity and always have.

If Arod is suspended for the entire '14 season it will be difficult for any team to sign Cano away.

I'm know the Yanks are very charitable, but I think they should still feel the sting of the contract and not get a temporary financial reprieve. Gotta wonder how much the Yankees front office was working with MLB in this case... Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Arod getting the ban for life that Selig has threatened, even though that won't happen.

Pimped it too from what I understand. Nothing like one of the best home run hitters ever watching a home run off a double a pitcher

It would have been mildly amusing had he played four innings or so Monday and then major league baseball security goons escorted him off the field.
