I think I'm starting to agree with this statement now too... Neil's the man!

I would never admit this too loudly on a PJ forum but, uh...

    me too! ;)
Haha, you're the man too Brian, surely you can say it louder than that! ;)

Here's my Neil collection (some I have duplicates of):

    Neil Young
    Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
    After The Gold Rush
    Harvest
    On The Beach
    Tonight's The Night
    Zuma
    Long May You Run
    Comes a Time
    Rust Never Sleeps
    Hawks and Doves
    Reactor
    Everybody's Rockin'
    Americana

Crazy to think that I'm only missing American Stars from his first 14 albums, and yet my collection isn't even half of what he's released (I've got 16 of his 37 albums). He's so prolific!
Very nice list, any particular favourite? It's very hard to get all his stuff on vinyl, but plenty of time...

On vinyl...it's gotta be On The Beach or Tonight's the Night. The title track for On The Beach is what really kicked my Neil obsession into high gear. So damn moody.

I forgot to add that I also have Time Fades Away.

    You?

I'm finding it much harder to get his newer stuff on vinyl. I mean, it's available, but it's all $75 or so. I figured, when I can regularly find many of the older albums I need for cheap, I'll work on collecting the rest of those titles before I go for a bigger fish.

Any one have a copy of "Are You Passionate?" they want to trade? I've got multiple used copies of a lot of the what I have...

Sugar Mountain - Live At Canterbury House 1968
    Dreamin' Man Live '92
    Psychedelic Pill

I have his full discography on cd, the challenge now is to complete it on vinyl :)

Most of the 70's stuff up to Decade I got from my Dad, everything from Eldorado onwards I bought new when it was released. The other bits in between I've picked up second hand over the years. I'd like to get Ragged Glory or Harvest Moon next but I'd really love it if the 72-82 era Archives box was coming soon as that's my favourite Neil era.

Cool! I have Decade as well.

I'm always on the lookout for those titles (Ragged Glory/Harvest Moon). Great, great albums. "War of Man" has such a cool guitar part and everything on Ragged Glory (although I'm not huge on Farmer John) is amazing.

I picked up one of the Buffalo Springfield compilation albums this weekend for $11. It's a pretty cool double LP. I'm not so much a fan of the Springfield as I am any recordings of Neil on vinyl.

^^ :( for the folks in Europe who aren't getting their NY&CH fix this month.

I scored Jim Jarmusch's "Year of the Horse" DVD secondhand today & am watching it now. It's great watching this having seen 2 shows of their's in March. :)

I sell used books for a living so I'll spend some time checking other used books stores first before ordering on-line. Not opposed to doing so, but I always like to give other brick and mortar stores a chance first. Will definitely be watching for one in any case! :)

Here's a link to an interesting article about Neil's Pono player.

Oh, the reasons I miss staying up for Letterman! The article includes a video of Neil being interviewed by Dave Letterman. Very cool. Enjoy!
