Went to the Newport Arms for lunch yesterday.. made me realise how much I miss the northern beaches. Pymble is for old wealthy pretentious people and families ... Pfft. Hey do you know anyone who's been for a drink at the new Sands Hotel in Narrabeen? It looks a bit RSLish and the beer garden facing the beach is really small.

Dude I popped in there on friday night. So tragic they closed the old beer garden - that was an institution that place.
They are trying to weed out the workers/surfies clientele. Wont happen - give it 6 months and the joint will be full of boardies and thongs again. Thats just Narrabeen. Nothing better than walking across the road, dumping your board, throwing a tshirt on and having a cold one. TRAGIC

You walk the streets and hardly ever see anyone because everyone is inside their huge ancient old houses hidden by trees and hedges with a pool and tennis court out the back. :rolleyes:

The only good thing about the house is that it's perfect for the two dogs with a big backyard and a nice park nearby for them to walk and poop in.. I try and make sure they do it on people's nature strips though..
