I don't think the band bothers much with rehearsals outside of a quick soundcheck. Have you ever noticed how much tighter and longer the sets become as any legit tour rolls on? The first ten shows of a tour are prettymuch the rehearsals.

i think they do minimum rehearsals. the shows definitely have an unrehearsed feel. most of the time thats good. but, sometimes not...especially when the sound/mix is poor.

When PJ posted the countdown event on Facebook, the map was located in Edmonton, Alberta. Many of us were thinking maybe there would be a show there first. A rehearsal show before the London & Wrigley Field games.

  • There was in interview with EV on BBC radio 1 by that absolute weapon Zane Lowe around Backspacer and he asked if they have been rehearsing before their tour, the answer was pretty much no as they don't need to.

I'm sure they will rehearse any new songs but thats about it

The band typically rehearses for about a week or so right before the crew loads up their gear to haul it off for the upcoming performance/s. Rehearsals are also as important for the crew as they are for the band, as it gives the crew a chance to acclimatize themselves to the late-night schedule and little sleep that takes place while on tour with the band.

I think it is likely that they rehearse the 70-80 songs that will make up the majority of songs played on a tour. They probably reherse in their "warehouse" where they have their gear set up. Especially if they plan on playing any new songs from the forthcoming album. That said, their rehersal is probably just a couple of days.

I remember before the 2008 tour (?) when Eddie said in an interview they don't really need to rehearse anymore...

... well.. one of you should read through the lyrics before tour...
