Impossible getting tickets to NY?

So, when PJ play in NY (which they might do this year) is it pretty much impossible to get tickets? Does the whole of MSG sell out at once when they play there?

It's not impossible, but it is difficult. MSG sells out quickly.

Now that the Barclays Center is open, MSG isn't the only game in town ;) .

It's never easy in NYC, that's for sure. Even so-so bands sell out there because there is too much demand with 10 million people living around the area :fp: . I know I'll be looking for 2 or 3 for my fireman friends when the time comes  . Advance notice if anyone has any extras  ..............I promise they'll be for NY bravest, keep me in mind .
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

If there are two shows it will be essentially "impossible" to win both in the lotto. Only 1st choicers will win. But it is not impossible to get into the building.

Or maybe the 10c will only allow you to enter for one of them.

Should be a perfect storm for a ticketing surge: two dates in Brooklyn that fall on Friday & Saturday nights. I'll venture a guess and say if you're selected for 10C tickets for one show you're disqualified from winning tickets to the other.

Great for some, but not those who had never been shut out of a show prior to the lotto. Don't forget the entitled minority!

yeah, maybe great for some but fair for all...
sorry..all fans have the right to see the band..they ones never shut out in the past ,its time to find another way to the venue, like others did the previous years when they never scored fan club tix to NY shows, but find the way to be in the show..

If you don't get tickets to NY, don't be disappointed...for the cost for hotels, food and drink, and everything else in NY, you could probably do 2 our 3 shows in smaller cities

But if you are to visit USA for the first time, NY would be nice :)

I was really happy that the NY shows would be on a Friday and Saturday so I could enjoy them without having to work the next day. But then I realized that there would be even more out of towners making it nearly impossible to get tix :x.

Oh well, no matter what I will be in the building for both dates. Hopefully they add a close to NYC Jersey show too, a la 2010.

Renovations in MSG will be over in October. Shows for other bands are already being booked for that time-frame and after.

Pearl Jam has not requested any dates to be held at MSG, and they usually plan pretty well in advance (last time they held the venue 5 months in advance). As of this moment, they're not planning anything at the garden.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

in 2010 I had to go all the way to Jersey to see them cuz I couldn't get MSG tickets for either night. This was NOT via 10c.

I wish they'd play Jones Beach. It's right on the water, that's sorta their thing! It probably wouldn't be AS hard to get tickets to as MSG. But I guess they've sworn off LI entirely after Nassau
