Definitely will be hard, and it does worry me. Was incredibly lucky to score tickets for both shows in 2010. Hopefully I'm in the building in NYC this year, too :)

So the trip actually took more than an hour)

Could someone tell me how different is the price, comparing 10Club ticket prices vs Ticektmaster prices? I will be coming from abroad for the fall tour. Thanks!
If I knew where it was, I would take you there.

If you don't get tickets to NY, don't be disappointed...for the cost for hotels, food and drink, and everything else in NY, you could probably do 2 our 3 shows in smaller cities

Unless you live there, of course.

But for us not living there...

... you could still travel to NY, and just take the train to NJ or wherever they might play? I would not have a problem travelling for 30min to see PJ... it doesn't have to be in NY proper :)

I was really happy that the NY shows would be on a Friday and Saturday so I could enjoy them without having to work the next day. But then I realized that there would be even more out of towners making it nearly impossible to get tix :x.

Oh well, no matter what I will be in the building for both dates. Hopefully they add a close to NYC Jersey show too, a la 2010.

    This.

I'm thinking PNC in Holmdel! (a 15 minute car ride to a PJ concert would blow my mind, haha)

I was fortunate enough to score a couple pairs of 10C tickets to shows at MSG while living in NYC for a decade. For other shows, TM worked for me. I'm pleased that I never went the scalper route.

Thankfully, the disasterous F5 ticketing process that plagued northeast shows long before PJ20 has been replaced by the current lottery system. Like many other fans that have seen PJ in other venues, MSG is nothing special. Pearl Jam always puts on a great show - regardless of the venue. You can also have just as good a time pre- and post-show in any other city as you can in NYC.
    Enjoy your future shows everyone.

So, when PJ play in NY (which they might do this year) is it pretty much impossible to get tickets? Does the whole of MSG sell out at once when they play there?

Well there will be 19000 tickets onsale.....Not impossible. Just difficult. ;)

Mm... but I guess in worst case you can fly to NY and do the tourist stuff and such and then go to NJ or even Toronto or something to watch PJ.

If I was to go see PJ in the States I'd probably do that. Fly into NY and go shows in NJ, Hartford & Boston if I couldn't get a NY show.

Historically, Boston and NJ have sold out nearly as fast as NYC. Thus, the fears about the lotto shutting out everyone in that area who doesn't get their first choice. I know the 10c will do their best, but they only have so many tickets.

This going to be an interesting time on the forum when all this goes down.

19,000 tickets. Not even close :nono: . Thousands of tickets are already in season ticket holders pockets, in which half are scalpers & most of the rest sell them to scalpers :fp: . Plus this is NYC, corruption capital of the US :shifty: , tickets are "put aside" for give backs  . And that's not even including how many are set aside that go directly into the "secondary market" for PROFIT  . Then you have the scalpers rigging the regular sales with their technology & hired help.
We're lucky if there are 5000 seats available after the 10C allotment :fp:

Good lucky all who will be trying :lolno:
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

I live in New York. I LOVE New York. However, if you're visiting the US for the first time I'm not sure New York is THE place to come. I hated it when I visited, I think what makes New York wonderful is everything I have access to at my fingertips because I live here. Visiting just seems like it would be a really stressful experience. Maybe I'm in the minority here :)

    i agree

if you're looking for big city crazy... lots of shopping ... and cab/train rides... and expensive... and busy... then it's for you ;)

if you're looking for perfection... go to Boston ;)

as for MSG/NY tickets.... it's the only location I've ever been shut out of... spent 7 hours trying for those fn tickets

although I did get hooked up on the Pit with another 10c member one time... but work prevented the trip... I think he's still angry ;)
