Arriving Thursday evening, plan on not leaving the hotel. Room service maybe a movie, probably the only quality time I'll get with Mrs Truck. Friday, drinking A LOT! Plan on being first in line for the preparty so I can get the rail! Saturday not sure? Surely will involve lots of more drinking. Maybe Goose Island brewery which is one of my favorite places to hang out?? Come home Sunday.

Arriving Friday morning and staying near the Magnificent Mile. Will try to grab leisurely lunch somewhere and then eventually head toward Wrigley to hang out wherever seems best until the show.

Saturday is wide open. I'm sure we'll be at Nazy Pier and one of the towers. Other than that, I have a list of things to do and see. Will try to grab a nice dinner and probably go to a bar/club that evening.

    Fly out Sunday around noon.
The only people we should try to get even with...

Driving from Minneapolis Thursday. (unless I find some cheap airfare!)
Staying with friends in the Wicker Park area.

Hanging outside Wrigley looking / begging for tickets Friday.

Seeing Pearl Jam or listening to Pearl Jam outside of Wrigley!
Not sure about the rest of the weekend - probably some drinking involved :D
    Maybe a White Sox game.
    Leaving Sunday to drive back.

Im taking the train from River Grove to Wrigley. (30 minute ride)
Im picking up my tickets and taking my seat at the show.
2.5 hours later, I am getting back on the train and going home.

Im not going to see any of you fuckers.
    :P

I will be driving down from Milwaukee and would like to hear more about this train. If I could drive to atrain station and not have to drive/park near Wrigley, that would be awesome. It would also give me a little time to sober up before the drive home.

Getting there Thursday, flying in standby. Get to hotel & find something to do. Friday my friend Chris aka FatBastard( man with the ticket  ) arrives. Spend the next 15hrs making sure he doesn't get too drunk  . Head to Wrigley & the pre-parties. Then head inside to Mike's side :ugeek: . After party :shifty:, then back to the hotel. My friend leaves Saturday. I'm staying & going to the Phish show on Northerly Island Saturday night, then leaving Chicago some time Sunday.

I think I'm really counting on winning that, money has been tight, though sometimes last minute steals are the way to go. Chicago is such a beautiful city, I can't wait to be there and see everything!

I hope to experience a charmed, carefree day in the city, including lunch at a fancy restaurant, a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, and visits to the Sears Tower, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Then I will crash the annual Von Steuben Day Parade, lip-synching to The Beatles' "Twist and Shout" on a float as the crowd joins me singing and dancing.

CTA: Take the "Blue" rapid transit line to the Addison Street stop. Transfer to the CTA No. 152 eastbound bus, which lets off at the ballpark

These are directions from Ohare, which is pretty damned close to where I live, River Grove.
If you park your car by O'Hare, which keeps you right on top of 294, It should only be a 45 minute to an hour or so ride to Wrigley.

Im sure you can google and find what ya need to know.

294/94 south towards Chicago, jump on 90 east(by ohare), go a mile or so to the Cumberland exit. Go south a few blocks and you will see the train station. They have parking, though I am not sure of the price. Cant be more than $20 for the day. Then follow those directions I gave you.

I was hoping to. I have a hotel reservation but really wanted to save the $$ for the fall tour.

If you stay by the airport(Super 8 is pretty damned cheap), I know a few people who are staying there, and probably hopping on the train. That way you avoid the city traffic. Just hop on the train and give yourself a couple hours to get to Wrigley. (Shouldn't be more than an hour, but ya never know).

Fly in with the Mrs Thursday night. Go out until one of us is ready to fall over.

Friday is Pearl Jam day. Try to hook up with some board members from degenerate board gambling pool. Have food and beer. Wander down to Wrigleyville, see if the Full Shilling pre-party spot is all full yet, get tickets, get a slow and steady buzz going pre-show. Post show, bask in the shared excitement of getting to watch our favorite band play Wrigley, get totally shit-hammered and stay out until one of us is ready to fall over.

Saturday - wife day, since Friday was full on PJ day. Take the train around the city, get some good eats, do whatever she wants to do and go out until one of us is ready to fall over.

Sunday - flight isn't until late at night so we will sleep in and nurse the 3 day hangover. Check out some more shit in the city and fly back late night.

We have both been to Chicago before so it is going to be relaxing and not jammed full of stuff. Good food, drink, people....

I love the idea of going to a Sox game since I havent been to that stadium and it would be another one to check off but we will play that by ear.

Inn at Lincoln Park...was planning to walk to Wrigley and back if the train schedule didn't work. I've read some so-so reviews about the place.

Redeye flight from L.A. Wednesday night, arriving EARLY Thursday. Breakfast somewhere, wander around downtown, nap, get a Polish dog, hit some bars and find live music Thursday night.
Friday more city wandering, maybe Art Institute. Then Wrigleyville for pre-party before the show.
Saturday hunt down some pizza, hang out in Bucktown/Wicker Park, drink more beer, listen to more music.

have not made any plans other than a rough itinerary:

    Niagara Falls
    London
    Chicago
    Cleveland

and not necessarily in that order.

    and we will be driving.

    unless we just stay home.
