    Daughter has her 10th birthday on Thursday, so will be flying out from Tampa first thing Friday morning. Check in at hotel and immediately start getting mentally prepared. Staying in Evanston.

    Saturday going to South Side for Braves and White Sox.

    Sunday, downtown Navy pier area.

    Back to Tampa Monday afternoon!

    I hope to experience a charmed, carefree day in the city, including lunch at a fancy restaurant, a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, and visits to the Sears Tower, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Then I will crash the annual Von Steuben Day Parade, lip-synching to The Beatles' "Twist and Shout" on a float as the crowd joins me singing and dancing.

    I'm taking the Megabus into Chicago on Friday morning, checking into the hotel and then heading to Wrigley to look for a pair of tickets. Leaving on Saturday morning to head back to Iowa.

    The wife and I are arriving at about 7:00 on Thursday night. Not too many specific plans yet. Maybe a Chicago by water tour. A hot dog or two, maybe some pizza (Chicago style of course). Hopefully a trip to the Chicago Music Exchange to look at guitars I can't afford. Still trying to figure out my plan for the dueling pre-show parties both official and unofficial. Wife thinks she wants to go see Phish on Saturday, and we leave Sunday at about 10:00am. Will be our first ever trip to Chicago. Looking forward to it!

    only thing i know is PJ and drinking on Friday and probably Saturday too. :D:lol:

    Maybe sightseeing and the beach? Lots of food and eating out too i'm sure. Person i'm going with lives near Wrigley so she'll be my tour guide. She's not a huge PJ fan only casual. She probably only knows the "hits". Wouldn't mind getting together with other Jammers, just not sure how she would be with it, I think she would be cool with it, very open to meeting new people.

    Driving up most of the way on Thursday, hitting up 3 Floyd's Brewery near the Indiana state line. Heading into Chicago the next day. Have a few bars I want to visit, but more important, Pearl Jam friends to see/meet. Then as a perk, the band is playing at Wrigley, so I figured I would check that out too. :D

    *I have done the pizzerias, Art Institute, etc in the past, so this trip will be relaxed and fun.
