Just watched this, the other day.....Japanese gore flick, called appropriately Grotesque. This is some fucked up stuff! But, for some reason I love it.

Saw it. I don't know how to place my thoughts on it. It was pretty much what i was expecting but it didn't feel like a great movie. I cant think of anything bad to say about it though. If you think you will like it, you probably will. I think most of the recent horror movies sucked, so maybe im in shock or denial that this didn't suck. it doesnt have any of the slapstick, or campyness, which i was hoping for just a bit, not enough to take away that it was a serious horror, but still a little thrown in for the sake of it.0 -

‘The Shining’ Prequel ‘The Overlook Hotel’ Moves Forward!
It’s been announced today that former “Walking Dead” showrunner Glen Mazzara is the likely candidate to write Overlook Hotel for the studio. Per Deadline, “Glen Mazzara, who ran AMC’s smash hit series The Walking Dead for the past several seasons, will now focus on ghosts. He’s in talks to write The Overlook Hotel, a prequel to the Stanley Kubrick-directed The Shining, based on the Stephen King novel.”And so you see, I have come to doubt

It's been a long time, but it's one of those old Hammer Horror movies, you usually can't go wrong with those. Especially the ones with Peter Cushing, and he's in that one.
yeah they've been showing the trailer they made for it for awhile. looks kinda cheesy but in a good way
it was ok. I was tired and fell asleep through some of it though
Next Horror film they are showing is Prom Night. We are encouraged to dress up. Get your pics taken and stuff.8/28/98- Camden, NJ

Saw "Grizzly" the other night. It was pretty much a Jaws ripoff but was mildly entertaining and cheesy

I saw House at the End of the Street last night.
I would give it 2 Stars out of 5 (on the horror movie scale).
Extremely predictable. Had a lot of plot holes. A ton of human behavior that you roll your eyes at. i can live with "Dont Go In There" moments and I am able to not be a complete miserable skeptic, but this one just threw any type of reality out the window.
That Jennifer Lawrence broad is easy on the eyes though.0 -

I love the paranormal genre of horror films, not so much the "found footage" but the classic haunted house storytelling. Some of my favorites are:
1. The Entity
2. The Orphanage
3. The Others
4. The Woman in Black (TV movie from the 80's)
5. Legend of Hell House (silly ending though)
The other classics (The Changeling, The Shining, Poltergeist, Amityville, etc....) were already mentioned so I'm leaving those off the list.
Also, if you like slasher films, one of the best parodies ever made is Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Funniest movie I've seen in a long, long time. If you have Netflix, watch it and you won't be disappointed.
I'm looking forward to seeing The Conjuring, although it's based on those crazy religious ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren, taken as pure fiction I'm hoping it'll be pretty good.
