saw Krampus the other day. I thought it was pretty good. Yeah it's kinda horror comedy. There are laughs but i thinks it's slightly more horror than comedy, something like Gremlins.

Seeing The Witch on Sunday. Reviews have been great, which with horror films always leaves me uneasy. It does look solid though.

So i finally saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original) last night. Overall i enjoyed it. One part i kinda jumped when Leatherface came out of the trees and cut up the one dude in the wheelchair. Only thing that was kinda annoying for me was the girl at the end, Sally, would not stop screaming. I know it's a horror flick and girls are suppose to scream and all, but hers was getting on my nerves and I was hoping they were gonna kill her (although I had a feeling she was gonna escape).

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I never get tired of seeing it.
I met Gunnar Hansen (Leatherface) at my first convention back in 2000…nice guy.

One of my favorites. The scene where they try to get grandpa to kill the girl at the dinner table is one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history. (at least to me  )

What did people think of The Witch? I was extremely disappointed, had heard great things about it. It damn near put me to sleep though.

I enjoyed it. Very strong acting, great atmosphere.
Def a psychological horror film. One of the better horror films I've seen in a long time IMO.

Anyone ever see The Burning? 1981 slasher flick. Saw it last night in 35mm. The print was ok (lot of red and pink in it). I had never seen it before. I enjoyed it although the print we saw they cut out "the raft scene". Although they did leave some of the gorier scenes in it. Also Jason Alexander, Holly Hunter and Fisher Stevens first movie. And i believe the Weinsteins first movie.

Great movie, basically Canadas answer to Friday the 13th but done very well.
Strange that they cut out the raft scene, that is the gore/jump highlight of the movie

Sweet, it's on youtube, will watch it tomorrow (I have to go to a Canucks game tonight :frowning: .... You know your home team really really fucking sucks when your friend gives you a free ticket and you would still rather stay home and watch an obscure 1981 horror flick).
