No, it's probably packed too tightly to be able to get back up, even if you have a friend you're trying to find (I think here you can generally get back up in GA if you have a friend up there waving you in). In Missoula I went to the washroom twice and still got back up in GA to where I originally was (6 deep).

My bladder determines which song I HAVE to skip.
But... I am pretty good at guessing which song will end the regular set and can get a head start on the can before the break.

I'm morello as in a type of dark cherry, not as in Tom Morello. I've seen RatM a couple of times but never been a huge fan.

Anyway, I'm still on a +1 on there are no piss break songs. Why pay good money for a show & miss anything going to the bathroom whether you're GA or not? You can drink beer any day, you can't see whatever band it is any day.

If there are songs that I feel I can bail on because I'm tired of hearing the song... I have probably gone to too many show and might want to take a break or something.
Happy to report... i am not there, yet. I mean, it's not everyday I get to see/hear Pearl Jam live... I cut myself off of liquid intake a couple of hours before the gig... so i can last through the regular set. And are people tired of Mike's solo during 'Evenflow'? Because, I'm not.

Meh. Missing a couple minutes of something that is 3 hours long just doesn't bother me at all. I like to have some drinks at concerts - it's fun. Well worth missing 2 minutes of a concert.

I'm with you. No piss breaks. (And I usually have Gatorade waiting for me in the hotel room for after the show.)

I regretfully bought my 10 yr old daughter to Hyde park hoping she would learn to love pearl jam as much as me. She spent the whole time winging about needing the toilet, naturally I wouldn't take her til the end when all the portaloos were packed :fp: So we had to search for a quiet tree.

Piss break makes sense to me. So many songs I've heard played the exact same way 10 times before...
Besides, if you go during an encore, you'll likely have to wait in line as well as the first song of the next set....

Another pro of not getting drunk is you will remember the show crystal clear.
I think that is why I missed Eddie playing basketball in one of the Berlin 12 shows.

Also a reason for me,I'm likely to be in a country/town I've never been in before so as much as 1 or 2 drinks won't matter I definitely have to have my wits about me re getting back to where I'm staying etc. That is a though also when I'm at shows away from home.

The general feeling is that some people would rather drink and miss a song and some would rather NOT drink for a day and not miss a song. I'm clearly the latter.

Besides, the drinks after the show are that much better for having waited.

And for JonnyPistachio, even though Sleight of Hand is the one song I dislike, I totally agree with you. The first time I saw Help Help I was blown away by how much better it was live and I don't ever want to miss one of those moments.

I prioritize the music too. That still just doesn't exclude emptying my bladder when it needs to be. You can even still hear the show in the washroom. It just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
