Unthought Known as an Opener

They have used it several times. I think it is an amazing song and makes for a great opener. Starts out slow and and slowly builds momentum plus one of Eds greatest moments is the Gems and Rhinestones yell.
Your thoughts?
Your thoughts?
Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.

Horrible lyrics, boring musically, and the few times I've seen it it's been a crowd killer.0

Crowd killer? I feel like this is the 1 song from backspacer that really gets the crowd going.0 -

At PJ20 it was alright, but less of a response than most songs, even something like No Way. The St Louis and Indy shows in '10, which had above average crowds it was practically the dead spot of the night both times. I think Just Breathe and The Fixer were both alot better received. The "did I say that I need you" and the "yeah yeah yeah" parts in their respective songs gave me a new respect for those tunes.0 -
I love this song. I love how it builds and it always makes me feel good. I do prefer it later in the set though after things are warmed up...maybe song 9 or 10 or so.
Falling down,...not staying down0 -

I can see your point - I think the chorus is pretty good though
I don't quite get all the love for the song - It feels like a Wishlist, or a Light Years. Good songs, but certainly
not anywhere near their best.
And as an opener? Hell no.
Discounting Just Breathe & The End (should never of been on a Pearl Jam album - Much better fit for an Eddie solo album) I think Got Some and The Fixer are great, Unthought Known, Johnny Guitar & Supersonic are good. The rest, not so good I'm afraid0 -

Lyrics are bad, but it's not a crowd killer by any means. I think it's a decent opener but not great. Mid set fits pretty well, where it is usually played. Backspacer has no gems on it, closetest thing is force of nature.0

Great song. You should see the crowd reaction in Berlin-2010 video. What's your part, who you are?
2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin
2016: NY MSG 10 -
