Thanks. What's considered a nightmare? We went last year during Memorial Day/Star Wars week and it was busy but we got through it. Expecting long lines and utilizing the fast pass is a given.

We got the free dining plan.

I did that two weeks ago in vegas with 9 other guys. It's good to make family sacrifices isn't it? And damn. I fucking love roller coasters.

family sacrifies........i'm not familiar with this phrase.

Over 200 min waits on many of the Big attractions. They say that it starts getting crazy around a week before. you'l see ALL the same stuff anytime around mid November as you would Christmas day. Osbourne family lights the castle being lit. The special Very Merry Christmas Party's at the Magic Kingdom which cost extra. The decorations are all up, the ginger bread houses made all from actual cookies. Trust me i've goon through it and researched the hell out of it. Less money, crowds and all the same stuff. Early Dec is prob the best time IMO.

If my wife didn't become pregnant we planned on going back in early Dec again. Last yr the Magic Kingdom reached capacity 4 diff times in your 22-29th range. The 24,25,27 and 28th all hit phase 3 numerous times.

Still talking it over. The Mickey Christmas Party ends on the 20th. Kind of defeats the whole purpose.

We were there from the 12-19th in Sept 2 yrs ago. Other then the heat and the love bugs it's great there then. Having a baby will halt my vacations for a bit.

Just a little anecdote to all the parents taking the wee ones to disney:

As a child I was taken to disney twice, each time it was the year a close relative died, the last time being ...... 92 or 93...

2010 was the next time a close relative died. before it was even spring I was looking at vacation packages for disney. Never gave 2 shits about disney (or florida, in general) before that.

Didn't make that Pavlovian connection until I mentioned the plan to Mom and she inquired about why i suddenly wanted to go, considering I was only taken the year so-and-so died and the year so-and-so died before that, and never showed any initiative to go on my own before...............

I went to cedar point that year instead.

Naw, I wish, couldn't afford it back then, if i ever come into some real money though it's going to happen. But we did go there for our Honeymoon and a hurricane was supposed to hit but didn't, so the parks were empty!
